Excellent location, wonderful service, extremely kind staff. I stayed in the hotel for two weeks during the Pan Am games. Although the hotel was very busy the service was remarkable. The location is very convenient, right in front of the University of Toronto, Royal Ontario Museum in the beautiful Yorkville neighbourhood. Marcos B. (Brazil)

Everything about this hotel is first-rate. Located on busy Bloor Street across from the Ontario Museum, it is in the center of things. Our room was very comfortable and the hotel staff was wonderful. My only criticism is that the free WiFi did not work well during our stay, and we had to keep asking the front desk to help... More

I wanted to a take a minute and send a huge thank you to all the staff at the Intercontinental Yorkville Hotel for their excellent service during my 3 day stay in Toronto. Being that I'm not a frequent traveller I still tend to become a little uncomfortable while at hotels. I was very impressed with how professional and friendly... More

I am never disappointed when I stay at an Intercontinental & this one was no exception. Really great location...Close to shopping, restaurants and multiple attractions. Art museum is right across the street. Rooms were clean, comfortable & quiet. Service was excellent! I would definitely stay here again.

The InterContinental Toronto Yorkville was a great place to stay. Very convenient for museums and shopping. The room was excellent, large, well appointed. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room rate included breakfast which was a buffet or Canadian breakfast. We had 3 people in our room, but received only 2 breakfast coupons per day and were told... More

My new wife and I had our wedding here July 25, 2015. We hosted the ceremony and reception here. They have a lovely terrace / garden lounge as part of the Proof Vodka bar that gets converted for a wedding. It was amazing to have that in such a downtown location. The reception is upstairs on the Mezzanine level along... More

We just had our wedding here - it was the most MAGICAL night. We were the only wedding of the night (they only ever do one wedding a night), had a private floor away from other hotel guests and the service was absolutely PHENOMENAL! You spend all of this time (and money!) planning a wedding, you want it to be... More

It was a relatively short stay, four days, but long enough to experience the commitment to excellence, from housekeeping to Manager. Though I was not there for them, the Pan American Games were in full swing and as such, the hotel was quite busy with many languages in the air. I was impressed with the ease that the Front Desk... Dear Frank R, Thank you so much for taking the time to post a review following your most recent stay with us! It was a pleasure reading you were upgraded to a suite (although I would like to further investigate why you felt the wet spot in the first place; if you don't mind, please send an email to customer.service.icty@ihg.... This small hotel in the midst of the bustle of Yorkville is an island of calm and civility. From the curbside assistance and clear parking guidance to precise and warm departure checkout, InterContinental Yorkville sparkles with personal touches. I've travelled globally and never had the engagement and concern delivered by the concierge desk here. Right off the lobby, the staff... More

I was in town for the weekend - combined business and pleasure - and have come to expect the superlative service which the staff at this hotel provide. And they never disappoint... Truly, the personal touch demonstrated by the staff here is, in my experience, unparalleled, and is a reflection of the Front Office Manager, Rolf Kenda, who defines impeccable... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
