The Fairmont Royal York is a grand hotel.

We loved our room, it was clean and spacious. The dinning I felt could have been better, not that much variety, mostly pub style, and very expensive for what you got.

We flew into Billy Bishop downtown airport, which had a free shuttle directly to the Royal York. Very convenient. The hotel is historic, grand and lots of options for food,drink, etc. Pricey hotel for small rooms if you don't have a deal of some kind, though. (We did).
