This is the second time I visited Toronto after 3 years and had to stay at comfy again. It was nice to meet the owner and see how much the city has changed. I would definitely recommend it. The rooms are clean and comfortable.

The host was very kind to us and I was very satisfied during staying. The room and washrooms are clean and neat. Warm inside and quite atmosphere. Actually I forgot to bring slippers but they offered it. Location is close to downtown and cheap !!

The guesthouse was in a good location and the owner was friendly, but unfortunately the accommodation was let down by a complete lack of cleanliness! The fridge was overfull and dirty and the bathmat in the communal bathroom (not a proper bathmat, it was just a carpet rug which surely traps loads of bacteria) wasn’t changed the whole time we... I really enjoyed that I was the only Canadian and I could meet visitors from many countries who also felt so comfortable there. A wonderful kitchen which really help budget travellers stick to a budget. Comfy Guest House is very lovely, and I enjoyed staying here a lot. I'd highly recommend it--it's clean and the inside is very cute. The other travellers were also quiet and polite. Also, Tahir is super accommodating and a great host!

Toronto is a great place to visit and this quiet little hotel is a good place to base yourself as it is just a short walk from the city centre, with its amazing 30 kms of interconnected subterranean arcades and malls (The Path), and the lake-side area and the CN Tower. It is also located just around the corner from... More

I enjoyed staying at Tahir's B&B. He made me feel very welcome and it was a good option for me, only a fifteen minute walk to the subway which meant I could get to the airport for $3! Tahir also booked a tour to Niagara Falls, it all ran smoothly and I was grateful he arranged it for me.

Comfy is an adorable little guest house located very conveniently - Cabbagetown and its many restaurants and shops are right around the corner. You can walk to Downtown and i.e. Distillery District, St. Lawrence Market, and Eaton Centre in about 15-20 minutes, and buses and street cars operate nearby. It's a quiet and clean place, and the host, Tahir, really... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
