The couple that run this campground are awesome. The woman gave us a really warm welcome and made us feel right at home. The site we had was spacious and nicely located by the fish pond. The location in Shuniah was perfect for getting to and from Thunder Bay. Satelite worked well. Wifi only available at the office. We had... More

This is a really big and pretty busy KOA. We stayed in a Kabin which was exactly what we expected as we have stayed in other KOA kabins. The outdoor kitchen was great - very helpful when your there to be a tourist and don't want to set up the whole camp kitchen. The pool was fine, the kids liked... More

It is a very well managed campsite. The washrooms are always kept very clean. The ground are well maintained. The water is drinkable at your campsite. The nights are quiet. They provide many activities for both children and adults. The only problem you may have is trying to get a site on a Long Weekend.

We really enjoyed our stay at this KOA. We were going for the first time with two adults, a cat and a three year old. There was a very nice outdoor kitchen close by, a well appointed play ground and some showers only a short distance away. If we're ever in the Thunder Bay area again, we'll be sure to... More

Friendly staff we were just passing through and the location was right on the highway which was nice. We stayed for one night. Nice playground for the kids great idea to bring in a HUGE sand pile my kids loved it! However if we were to stay for any longer then 1 or 2 nights it would have gotten old... More

We stayed here in two RVs, and we weren't impressed. The grounds are nicely taken car of, but it was overall rather barren. The neighboring road construction was unfortunate (but I realize that's not within their control). We certainly appreciated the large laundry facility, but the place just seemed a little sad. The cost was typical of a KOA --... More

Stayed here for 3 nights and although, as mentioned in a previous review, our site wasn't all that private ( No 58 ), it was so convienient to all the facilities including shower / toilet / pool / main building. The afforementioned facilities were spotless, and all the staff were so helpful and pleasant. There was some noise from the... More

Stayed in the large cabin. Very clean and well kept. As was the entire property. Lovely Large balcony. Owners and staff could not be any more friendly. They also accomodated all our needs. LOTS for the kids to do. Our only concern is we travelled from California to visit family and had to get all our bedding, towels, wash cloths,... More
