McVicar Manor is one of those special B&Bs and we loved our experience there. The attention to detail in the gardens and house were beautiful. The block is so large, apparently it has its own postcode! We stayed for two nights so we could explorer around Thunder Bay. Our hosts, Dorothy and Tom, called us Warrior Tourists because we did... We loved everything about McVicar Manor. Stayed in the Manor Room, which was stunning. Everything was really top quality. Good location, a short walk from various restaurants and bars. Breakfast was delicious, and our hosts were really warm and welcoming. Highly recommended.

As I age, I care more about the kind of service I receive, just as much as the product I purchase. It's always a delight to find both together, as I did with the McVicar Manor. I loved the rooms and gardens around the Manor - they're beautiful and well maintained. The breakfasts were well thought out, with food preferences... More

This B&B is a gem and you should make sure to book ahead as the cat is out of the bag! A little bit of old world charm is much to be desired in this overly-technological world. You still get wi-fi; but you can step back a century and enjoy the gracious living of fine furniture, excellent company of like-minded... More

We stayed at McVicar Manor in the creekside room for one night when we landed in Thunder Bay. It was a lovely start to the trip. Everything was so well appointed and all the little details were thought of. It truly felt like a luxurious little getaway and we slept to the sounds of a babbling brook. The house itself... More

I have been lucky enough to stay at McVicar Manor a number of times over the past few months. Tom & Dorothy are amazing hosts! I have stayed in both the Manor Room and the McVicar Room and have found them both incredible. Breakfasts are gourmet and generous. I can not say enough good things about this treasure. The century... More

We recently spent a week here and couldn't say enough about our stay. We were in TBay to look for a house to buy. Tom and Dorothy were amazing hosts and helped us in our house search. The breakfasts were tailored to our tastes and we always left the table satisfied. Our room was very nice and we really enjoyed... More

My new husband and I stayed here in the Manor Room the night of our wedding and were made most comfortable by Dorothy & Tom. They even extended breakfast so we didn't have to be up so early which was greatly appreciated after such a long day. Delicious breakfast using fresh ingredients from the garden was a special touch and... More

Very comfortable, fantastic breakfast! A beautiful property, restored with care and attention. The beds were comfortable (good choice of pillows), and the hosts were outstanding. One of the B&bs I've ever stayed at.

My hosts were wonderful in ensuring I was comfortable and relaxed. I have special dietary issues and they took great care to ensure I was happy and very well fed. Beautiful rooms and the garden is a delight. Highly recommend.
