The hotel is older it was close to the airport. It had a nice breakfast. The area is a little older a lot of trucks and buses parked there. The room was clean it was good for what I needed ,Everyone was friendly and nice. I was a little concerned safety wise but my son walked me to my room at night.My... More

This hotel has a friendly front desk staff and that is about the only good thing you can say about here. The property is old, dilapidated, and sits about 20 feet below the glide slope of approaching planes that loudly buzz you when landing or taking off from the airport. While the rooms them selves were pretty okay; the halls... More

There are several hotels in this price range in the city. I have stayed in most of them. This was the only one in which I found mould (and a good amount of it) in the bathtub. The staff in the hotel were appropriate, but in the restaurant they were often rude - as if I was disturbing their gossip... More

I travel to Thunder Bay often and have stayed in a lot of different Thunder Bay hotels. I stay at the Airlane quite often and it is an OK hotel for around 90 dollars or less. I would not pay 100 dollars for a room at this hotel - At that price point I would start to shop around and... More

We checked in with our small children at 11:30pm after a 19 h drive. Room decor is absolutely obsolete but preserved as a time capsule. I saw no mold whatsoever (i always look for it haha!) the staff is friendly. Check out was a breeze and crib (very clean pack n play)was complementary. Everything was functionnal and clean.

No elevator, had to drag my large suitcase up a long flight of stairs, hallways looked disgusting,,,the carpeting is horrible, décor very dated, my room was even less than desirable,,was very hot,,,had to call front desk and they said they would turn on central air but room stayed hot, the bathroom smelled of piss,,,piss stains on toilet seat, wanted to... Overall this hotel was fine for our 3 night stay.. The room was definitely dated but it was nice and clean. The wifi worked great. We weren't really in our room that much so I wasn't too picky. It was nice and close to the airport so it was easily accessable. We did not check out any of the amenities... More

Hello Jakebigguy, Thank you for the feedback on the internet. We added some extra wireless devices in the hotel to ensure a strong signal for everyone so that is great to hear it working! Next time you will have to dine with us in the restaurant! Thanks, Chris Stewart Front Office Manager More

Hello Barbara_C187 Thank you for your wonderful review! We are so pleased you had a great time staying with us! I do agree, we are not the closest to down town, but you are correct, there is lots to do along the main street and it is very handy being so close to the airport. Thank you, Chris Stewart Front... The bed was really comfortable. We were only there stopping through but anything that we needed they provided (extra pillows/towels, etc). When we checked in they saw how exhausted I was and sped through the check in for me.

After reading reviews we arrived with some trepidation. (National holiday late afternoon) First impressions confirmed the worst. Inattentive reception. Restaurant had notice saying dinner from 5pm. Went down at 6pm to find it closed. "Oh, it's a national holiday, get a take out!" says receptionist. Why say open if closed? A definite feeling of not caring. Very tired corridors. HOWEVER,...
