We purposely chose this hotel to stay with our 2 kids for 3 days because it had a pool and breakfast. Upon check in we found out that the pool was closed (for the last year) despite our having reserved it online and narrowing the search options to a hotel with a pool and breakfast included! Grrrr! The breakfast was... More

We chose this hotel as a meeting point for 2 families from out of town (Manitoba and Northern Ontario). 4 kids in total. When we found out the pool was closed, we should have rebooked, but I was offered passes to the sports complex across the street. The passes were only for kids, adults had to pay and there were... I found a good rate online so I stayed here during a business trip. The room was clean and functional and I had no problems with the desk. The hotel is on road rather far away from any other business so I got a cab to downtown Port Arthur quite affordably. Unfortunately the pool was closed for renovations but I... More

Unbelievably disappointed would be an understatement .. I have stayed and this hotel many times and the staffing has always been very nice! Since the new management I stayed and they front desk has been disgustingly rude. Argued with me about when we were to check out complained about it being another night when it was empty to begin with!... More

Great value, and modern comfortable rooms. Rooms are very clean ........kudo's to the housekeeping staff!! Also the day I checked in the front desk staff were great and attentive in every way. Asked and had the answers to all my queries. Will definitely stay again on my next road trip through Thunder Bay. As there is a Kelsey's Restaurant within... More

i have stayed here before. The hotel was built mid 60's and is a good motel. However it is a "tired" motel. There is wear and tear everywhere. HOWEVER, it is very reasonably priced and was booked full the two days I was here. The rooms are good, hot water, comfortable beds, flat screen TV's, fridge, wireless, coffee machine. It... More

Chose this hotel because they allowed pets. BAD CHOICE. Friendly service but not very knowledgeable. Asked for directions to 2 different places and neither helped us get there. Very hard to take pets in and out of hotel without hastle. Pets had to be on 2nd floor, no ground-floor rooms. Large dog-park nearby was by far the only good part... More

In a word, "RUN!" I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone that I liked, even as a joke! Its in Ontario, and last time I checked NO hotels were allowed to have Smoking rooms anymore...Well, this place is the exception to the rule. There were people openly drinking beer in the parking lot. At 2am, drunk people were banging on... More

I have been staying at this hotel the last 5 or6 years now in August time. The staff is very friendly but the rooms are in desperate need of a disinfecting cleaning or a massive upgrade. The quality of this place is fading out slowly. Seeing stains on bed sheets is not very appealing.
