There is no kitchenette..so what theres a toaster.. There are no bowls.. We ate cereal out of coffee cups.. The one pan was big enough to fry one egg and the tiny pot wasnt big enough to hold water. I booked two rooms for 4 nights and was 508.00 ..I later added 1 room for 1 more night and he... More

Rent a one bed room for 60$ with taxes. Not expensive but it doesn't worth more : the dishes in the kitchenette were dirty and the matress cover was burnt by cigaret butts, like one pillow. The bed cover also saw a lot of visitors before! Worst of all : the two hands printed on the back of the bathroom... More

My room was about the worst room I've ever stayed in .My room had a mattress that was at least 30 years old and I am honestly not exaggerating. The decor was from the 70's. Crooked, sagging table. Very old towels. Awful chemical air freshener odor. I couldn't even pull the sheet over my body. I slept at the edge... More

Was a good experience. Room was smaller but well worth the cost. It was exactly what I wanted when I was Travelling. Cheap room with all the amenities i need, fast free internet, a parking spot right in front of my room, Good cable, good bed, mini fridge. Best of all the guy who checked us in gave us $20... More

Stayed for 1 night it was ok, floors are laminate and get dirty quickly perhaps a broom in the rooms would help. Also there were 2 floor rugs on the floors that should just not be there, they are dirty and get crumpled up and in the way. Shower was hot and clean, bathroom was clean beds were ok, they... More

The Old Country motel was our stay for one night in Thunder Bay. I would say it was great, my girlfriend not so much. We got there late on Sunday and being from the US had no idea about where to exchange money or anything. The owner was very helpful and exchanged our money for the exact rate of exchange.... More

It is not the big luxury, but that makes the work. The room is small, with a comfortable bed. Even if there is a kitchen area, there are very few utensils. The bathroom is clean with tablettes. Sam, in the reception, is kind and tries to return the stay of the most pleasant. Why to pay a higher price somewhere... More

Driving across canada and staying in the old country motel, it is a good price, clean rooms and friendly service. If you are looking for pretty, not for you,but I am looking for bang for my buck, and it was great.

I was in town for a business trip. Decided to stay on a few extra days and was looking for an affordable in-town option. I found Old Country to be a nice experience. I stayed in Room 1, which appears to be recently updated. The room had a stove top, fridge, kitchen sink. The bathroom was spotless. Beds were comfy.... More

We knew from the get go that this was not the best place to stay in Thunder Bay. If you can afford to stay at another motel I would suggest you do so. The rooms are out dated, floor dirty overall first look is not good and if we were not so tired we would have moved on to another... More
