I stayed here with my dog f9or one night as part of my road trip from Vancouver, BC to Wawa, ON. The staff member who greeted me was nice and friendly. The room was clean and in decent shape. I appreciated the room having its own wifi. The selection of TV channels was good too. The bed was perfectly fine... More

You can't beat the price. The beds were comfortable. HOWEVER, the room was in very bad repair, the most egregious example of which was the faucet in the sink -- which spewed water all over the bathroom. The room was only very superficially clean. For instance, both the shower curtain and the tub were grimy. The worst thing, however, was... More

Do not book at this motel for more than one night at a time. The motel WILL charge you for two nights if you have to check out early. The manager told me when I booked in that he cared about folks that came in from towns around the region and wants to make sure he takes care of us...lmao...but... More

I only gave it 1 star because I had no choice deserves 0, bathroom had dried blood stains on side of bathtub walls are cinder block and it was on an unkept dumpy looking lot. There are piles of garbage around back perimeter of motel and I took 2 blankets I had in my car and slept on top of... More

Our room was outdated, but it was large and clean. It looked like they had started making some updates - the fridge, microwave, TV, and chairs all looked relatively new. The wifi worked well. The shower had good water pressure. The bed wasn't amazingly comfortable, but it was good for a night. We chose this place because it was pet... More

An interesting experience. On an extended road trip, tiring of what seemed to be high prices and paltry rewards from my usual 'default' chain, I decided to go independent, trying to save a few bucks. Noting that the Voyageur was rated 16th out of 33, I wondered, how bad could it be? I'm not sure bad is the right word,... More

Pros: - very clean room - free wifi - cable - comfy bed - was able to park right in front of our room - not far from downtown Thunder Bay Cons: - limited cable channels - room is stuck in the 1970/1980's - hubby found that the hot water in the shower took a long time to heat up... More

Check in was quick and easy and the manager was very kind. Room is clean and I checked the nooks and crannies because I've worked I the hotel motel business for hotels in the USA for 4 years and I know where to look. Carpets need replacing, huge Crack in bathroom floor, inner door stopper was busted and decor needs updating... More

My husband and I stayed there for 2 nights. It wasn't much, room was small but staff were friendly, it was affordable and pet friendly. It was quite and comfortable. That's all you need when traveling.

It was late at night, I was tired, looked for a place to stay overnight, had a choice of several places along this commercial area in Thunder Bay, and just wheeled into the lot at this Voyageur Motel, and was very happy with the fellow that came right out to help me, found a nice quiet comfortable room, was quick,...
