what a place...Visiting Stratford THIS IS the place to stay. Fabulous location-walking distance to everything. Rooms are out of a magazine-furniture, paintings, dishes-all gorgeous. You can spend all day looking at the décor or each room. Inn Keeper David Lester couldn't be classier. He is a fabulous cook and makes a breakfast to die for... Rooms are immaculate, coffee delicious... More

David has a gift for hospitality! Warm welcome, attentive to our needs and requests--the housekeeping staff were both friendly and professional. We plan to stay again when we visit Stratford. Pool and patio area are small, but quite serviceable. Located within walking distance of main street shopping and most restaurants as well as the Avon Theater.

Our stay at The Three Houses was as memorable as the play we went to see. A very warm welcome, beautiful room (the Garden Room) and great amenities. David's restaurant recommendations were excellent and the location can't be beat - within walking distance of everything. This is the start of a new tradition.

We go to Stratford for the plays, but we always look forward to the warm welcome at the Three Houses. David Lester does everything possible to make one feel at home. There are different types of rooms to suit everyone. We prefer the "garden room" with its own outside entrance and a short distance to the lovely little swimming pool.... More

My Fiancé and just returned from a wonderful weekend accompanying my parents in Stratford where we all were guests at the absolutely outstanding ‘The Three Houses’. They have been staying there for many years, several times during the season and have always raved about their experience - rightly so! Everything was delightful down to the last detail; proprietor David Lester... More

To celebrate our 30th anniversary we booked for 2 nights to enjoy some plays and relax and just enjoy ourselves. We had the Garden Room, a charming renovated carriage house. The entrance area welcomes you with the peaceful gurgle of water spilling from a fountain and a froth of flowers and greenery. A stone pathway leads to a backyard salt... More

I loved staying here last summer. It is centrally located in downtown Stratford, near all the theatres. David is such a wonderful host - a total character - and made our stay very memorable.

My husband and I stayed at The Three Houses on our wedding night in October, 2007, and had the pleasure of staying in the coach house. The room was beautiful, breakfast was delicious and the grounds were amazing. David was an amazing host! He referred us to several restaurants and made reservations for us when we decided on one. The... More

We made a last minute decision to go to Stratford (my favorite place) for my 75th birthday celebration -- just my husband and me. We chose the Three Houses Inn from the pictures on their website. We were not disappointed! David (one of the owners) is very warm and welcoming, his breakfasts absolutely wonderful! Our room was in the main... More
