Inside Foster’s Inn, we suddenly notice that it’s raining quite hard outside and that we have only 15 minutes left before curtain and our play (Man of La Mancha) begins at the Festival’s Avon Theatre on Downie Street. Nonetheless, we really don’t care, because the inn is literally steps away from the theatre, thus mirroring the famous real-estate mantra: “Location,... More

I was a bit skeptical as I walked up towards the hotel/restaurant. I was visiting Stratford for the first time, and didn't really know anything about the area. I was pleasantly surprised as I entered the room; like a guest room in an old house, but very roomy with modern amenities. I've been more and more impressed with the hotel... More

We were in Stratford on business and we were booked at Foster's. As we approached I was a little concerned but we were pleasantly surprised. Our room was very nice and clean. The staff is great and very helpful. Reading the negative reviews I have to believe those reviewers don't travel much. The restaurant is very good as well. Parking... More

Our room (201) was pleasant and well appointed. Very light and airy. However, both nights there was loud music from the bar or kitchen. Room 203 is very dark and has only one window. There is no parking nearby; the hotel staff recommend using the Municipal Lot that is a couple of blocks away. We were able to find a... More

We decided on a last minute trip to Stratford after receiving some gift cards from life essentials. The Foster's Inn was the only Motel in Stratford on the list. The room was just the right size seeing you don't travel to stay in the room anyway(but if you do the TV could have been bigger)...the bed&pillows were comfy....the bathroom was spacious&bright....floor did... I had eaten several times at Fosters and generally my experience was very good. Having stayed at other hotels that are farther out of town was a bit tiresome, I decided that something in town that was in close walking distance to the theaters would be better. The location of this hotel is perfect, and having such a good restaurant... More

This is my second stay here, and I plan on staying here again. I love how much character this hotel has. No room alike. High ceilings, old wood in all rooms. Just beautiful! It's impeccably clean and the staff are great. It's very reasonable during "off season". Like all places, it's higher priced during "peak season". I can't wait to... More

With towering ceilings, lots of wood, great seating, art a little commercial, elevator and great dining room minute from Avon Theatre - this is a great place to stay. Off season a wonderful getaway and very reasonable prices.

My husband and I decided that Stratford would be a nice stop on our way home from a lovely motorcycling/golfing trip through Ontario. It never occurred to us that on a Tuesday in September Stratford would be so busy. The Best Western was all booked up but they suggested Foster's as we wanted someplace in the downtown area so we... We just had a very poor and overpriced meal at Foster's. The "Signature Steak" was tough and tasteless. So was the loin pork chop. If we had the same two dinners at our hotel the meals would have been much tastier, and about $20 less expensive. We have been going to Stratford for more than 20 years, and this meal... More
