Although we had high expectations for Touchstone Manor, we could not have imagined how outstanding a place it is. The home is lovingly decorated, the rooms leave no detail undone, the breakfasts are simply amazing and the service is five star. The bed was incredibly comfy, the towels large and fluffy, and the "little touches" too numerous to mention, loomed... More

After many trips to Stratford over the years, a friend told us about Touchstone. I tried to find fault but could not! Georgeous home, elegant decoration, fine bed and sheets, luxurious towels, spectacular breakfast, very friendly and accomodating host, close to the theaters and town. It is undoubtedly the best accomodation in Stratford. I know it sounds like I am... More

This was our third stay at Touchstone since 2004, and we have now sampled three of the four rooms. The facility is spotless and beautifully decorated, the service is impeccable, and the breakfasts now can even be ordered off a menu. Truly one of the finest B&B's we have ever had the pleasure of staying in. I give it the... More

There is so little real elegance left in world. I would describe Touchstone Manor as elegant, almost belonging to a more genteel, civilized era while being totally modern in service, amenities, and comfort. Everything in the surroundings is perfectly appointed and chosen. By far the best thing about Touchstone is the owner, herself, lovely, warm, attentive, and totally professional. It... More

We just returned from a one night stay at Touchstone Manor while we were in Stratford to take in two plays. We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at the Manor.. The stately stone home is gorgeous and on a lovely piece of property in a delightful neighbourhood. The staff make you feel most welcome and respond to your every... More

My mother and I have stayed here a number of times, as well as my grandmother, and every time the experience has been excellent. From the welcoming personable service, the magnificent house and grounds, the 5 star breakfast and the little extra touches such as fortune cookies, with lines from the plays showing at Stratford Festival, on your bed at... My wife and I have stayed at Touchstone for a night both last year and this. On both occasions it was an outstanding experience, certainly among the finest accommodation I've encountered and, that would include everything from luxury hotels in New York to five star accommodation in a game park in South Africa. I see a previous guest had complaints... More

As a guest at that breakfast described by 9vacation9 I can attest to the fact that the description was absolutely accurate. This was a private conversation between guests, with all parties participating, and no one expressing any hesitation or upset over any of the topics discussed. The owner was clearly eavesdropping from the kitchen, and then unilaterally decided that it... More

Having recently stayed at Touchstone Manor, there were both positives and negatives that were observed. The house itself is beautiful, with many amenities. There were fresh fruit and flowers in the room, cookies and hot drinks available downstairs, a dvd library, lovely linens and towels, etc. The room was very comfortable and quiet at night. Arriving back to the room... More

I feel it necessary to respond to this review to give readers a better idea of why I stopped the conversation in question. In twelve years in the business, it is the first time I felt it necessary to do so. Unbeknownst to this particular person on a previous stay I had a complaint from another guest about the views... We stayed here for one night, and had wished we would have booked a longer stay... We've stayed at top hotels around the world, and none compare to the Touchstone Manor. The public rooms are great and with only four rooms (so eight guests) it really felt like you were coming home to your own beautiful mansion. There was a... More
