My wife and I enjoyed 3 nights here while atttending the Stratford festival, and we felt we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. The hostess is wonderfully welcoming and an engaging conversationalist. The house is wonderfully appointed in antiques and absolutely spotless. The breakfasts were outstanding, with quiche and crepes to die for. The location is very convenient... More

I stayed in the William room again; I love how bright the 3 windows make the room. One of my favourite things is the chaise lounge in that room, so comfortable to recline on and read. The house is very tastefully decorated and the gardens are the proprietor's pride and joy, as they should be, they are outstanding. Shelly goes... More

Off the beaten path of Stratford and near several restaurants. Most rooms have an ensuite bath. The other guests provide for interesting conversation at breakfast. The food is delicious. Meals are served at a common table. There are plenty of books in the small areas to browse. Good place if you are in Stratford for the theatre.

Loved staying here. I was lucky enough to get the William room at the last minute. Large and airy with three windows, 2 facing north and 1 facing east. Breakfast was wonderful, from her fresh baked muffins, a marvelous avacado & orange salad (need the recipe for that dressing) and then a fabulous quiche with bacon strips on the side.... More

Buckingham House is such a nice place that it is sad that I have so much to criticize. All of these come from a two night stay, which I think maximizes the liabilities of the place and minimizes the positives. The negatives had to do with the food and with the design of the rooms. I know there is a... More

Our first stay and worth a repeat. Shelly is friendly and a good hostess. Tasty breakfasts! We really enjoyed the other guests. Very close to town, no need to drive to theaters or restaurants . Loved having coffee brewer always available .

We stayed at Buckingham House for four nights and we were delighted with our choice. Shelly is absolutely charming and very generous with recommendations about shows, activities and restaurants. Breakfasts were delicious with an abundance of fruits, yogourt, muffins, scones, crepes, eggs, waffles, quiches (alternatively) and Shelly doesn't spare the efforts to make you feel welcome. She made sure we... More

This centrally located B & B is an excellent location for the theaters as well as downtown Stratford. The rooms are typically Edwardian but feel rather dowdy and could definitely be cleaner ( Lots of dust ) . The bathroom was very clean ! The breakfast was OK but not very imaginative and serving time only 8:30 am which could... More

My wife and I had not visited Stratford in several years and decided at the last minute (actually two weeks before our visit) that we wanted to attend the Stratford Festival to see "Fiddler On The Roof." Given that we were entering the start of the busy summer season, we found several choices already booked (no surprise) but were told... More
