Every Fall, we spend a weekend at the Shakespeare Festival in Stratford, Ontario highlighted by a delightful stay at the Stewart House Inn. Regardless of the quality of the plays that we see, the way that our little group is treated at the inn has been consistently fantastic. (The Bard would have stayed there himself, I'm sure, if he had... More

My 17 year old daughter and myself stayed at the SHI for two nights. We arrived tired Friday night and Marc (owner) greeted us in the driveway with such warmth and caring. Inside we were immediately embraced by the charm, decor, detail and attention. We were also greeted by Frances and Spencer who added SO MUCH to our stay!!! We... More

Our recent visit to the Stewart House Inn was both charming and inviting! Our host, Marc, was exceptionally helpful and welcoming, from the time we checked in until the morning we left. This Inn is so very very comfortable and warm feeling, with an incredible staff. The wonderful breakfasts were served with interesting local tidbits of information....so helpful when you... More

Located in a beautiful Victorian mansion on a quiet street shaded by ancient trees the Stewart House Inn is a visitor's dream. Nothing has been overlooked or left to chance. Mark is a warm, understated and knowledgeable host. It transpires he was once involved in management with one of the world's leading luxury hotel chains. It shows in the inn's... More

My wife and I have stayed here many times before, and this stay was excellent, once again. We stayed in the Garden Suite this time because it is most convenient to the pools. My folks were with us and they stayed in the Georgian Suite -- is that ever a beautiful room as well! One of our favourite things to... More

Fantastic place to stay. This is a historic house, the rooms are all beautifully presented, with a different name for each room. Can't say more about how clean the rooms and house were. Marc and the staff are excellent. Marc has made each room, library, living room, dinning room unique in the collection of furniture he has gathered of the... More

If you enjoy visiting Stratford off-season and want first rate accommodation, stay at the Stewart House! Each year for 25 yrs, our group of 5 friends from SW Ontario have " retreated" to different spots around the province - this was "over-the-top"! We managed to squeeze in a production at the Festival Theatre, and, along with the usual activities, we... More

It's always a treat to hear from our guests, and 'The Twisted Sisters` is no exception. I`m not sure who had more fun, the Ladies or the Staff or the Pups and I. It is particularly nice to see the Inn utilized so comfortably by the guests. It truly was like family by the end of their stay. Thank you... More
