We have stayed in the Noretta Motel for two nights in the middle of May. No surprises. This is just a normal small and not expensive motel. The location is good, just at Ontario street, which is the main street of Stratford. The Festival theatre is in a walking distance, about half kilometer from the motel. The centre of the... More

Outdated décor, and bed linens, scuff marks on pillows, dead earwig on floor, a vacuum would have been useful, long black hair on bed sheets. Would have complained, but so tired chose to sleep in my track pants and shirt instead. On a positive note, front desk staff very friendly on check in. Note much else positive to say. Would... More

A terrible experience. We booked 2 rooms and had to cancel due to a death in the family which required us to go out of town the night we were to stay at the motel. We gave 72 hours notice and had to pay full price for both rooms as we hadn't given them 10 days notice. I have no... More

We spent one night at the motel and found it very much worth the little money it costs. No luxuries, but all you need for a short stay. Clean and quiet. NOt within a walking distance of downtown Stratford, but hey - you pay what you get, and here you get a little extra.

Don't even book this place! if you do by chance have to cancel they will charge your credit card anyway around $30.00 per room.I have never heard of a cancellation policy by anyplace that I have booked and I travel quite often expecially for work, the bigger nicer places don't charge if you cancel in advance. If this is their... More

Do you want to ruin your trip and make your wife to hate you ? Check into the Noretta, she will. It stinks, the rugs are grimy, knobs were missing off the ancient TV, dirty windows, and has funky bed linens. The bathroom is so tiny you can hardly turn around in it, the sink literally protrudes into the shower. They use... More

For $50 I wouldn't complain, but we paid over $120 for a tiny room with 2 queen beds. Refrigerator, but no coffee maker. Good shower, but no tub. Maintenance problems too numerous to list, starting with doors that squeak, but don't close properly. One tiny lamp for reading, otherwise only overhead light fixtures that contain dead bugs. 15 minute walk... More

My husband, younger sister and I spent three nights at the Noretta, July 12-15, 2013. It was pleasant. Basic and simple but clean. The beds were very comfy and clean and the air conditioning unit worked well which was a plus because it was very warm. It was within walking distance to the downtown, and theaters. It was very quiet and... More

I stayed in the Noretta Motel and felt quite comfortable. The room was small but complete, and the location is excellent. Parking is free. I had no problems. I think it was in July 2011. It appeared to be on the upswing, with fresh paint and linens.

There seem to be a lot of negative reviews. I don't know if the owners have changed or pulled up their socks or what - but we stayed 2 nights and had no problems. The rooms are small as are the bathrooms, but this is a $75 motel people! They were painting the outside while we were there and the... More
