Our stays previously had been "satisfactory", but during this stay of one night on the evening of Sunday, September 6, in the evening, there was a power failure. We were literally stranded in our room on the third floor for about 4-5 hours. When I looked in the hallway, there was no speck of light to be seen ..... not... more

We stayed at the Drawbridge with our soccer team, it is very old and the service from the moment we arrived was not polite. The front desk hostess was very rude to everyone. The rooms are very old with the smallest t.v. you could find. Our daughters were afraid to sleep in the rooms as they thought it was something... more

We stayed at the Drawbridge Inn in Sarnia for the Silver Stick. They knew months in advance that we were coming. The Rooms were old. Snow was coming in the windows making the building freezing. The pool caused many of the kids to get nasty rashes. There was no hot water for two mornings and we were only given 10%... more

We came into Sarnia for a family wedding. Our two boys both contracted a nasty virus from swimming in the pool. The antibiotics cost us far more than the stay ($117 vs. $80) not to mention the lost time sitting in the Dr.s office back home on three different occasions. We won't be back. more

My wife and I stayed at this hotel on our wedding night. As most of our guests came from out of town, a lot of them stayed there too. Altogether, we had more than 10 rooms, some of which were for 2 nights. When we reserved our room the hotel was under renovations. The spa, gym and restaurant were closed,... more

Seven members of our family booked two rooms on the occasion of our parents' 50th wedding anniversary. Although this was the place to stay when we were growing up in the 1970's, it is no longer. The entire place smelled of mildew and mold and the rooms were very dated. Both nights we were awakened by drunks partying after what... more

The Drawbridge Inn is not in a class with the Holiday Inn or the Harbourfront Inn, but I had a very pleasant experience there. I actually lived there for 1-1/2 months until I settled in to a long-term furnished apartment for a long-term project in the Sarnia area (I work for "A Major US Company in the Power Generation Business"),... more

My wife and I purchased 2 nights through hotels.com and where able to get them to match the rate that was being offered on the hotel website which was a savings of C$54 for the 2 nights. When we checked in we were lucky enough to stay in a slightly newer section of the hotel, which was still old and... more

There used to be a time when the Drawbridge was considered THE place to stay in Sarnia. But that was clearly 20+ years ago. And by the looks of things, that's when they last changed the pillows and mattresses as well. The interior of the hotel is inconsistent, with some portions of the building looking old and worn, whereas others... more
