I have nothing bad to say about Cynthia and her B&B. My wife, my 8-mth son and I stayed two nights in the bigger room with private shower. The room is very spacious and still has enough space after we put in a foldable crib. The house is well furnished and decorated, and very clean - spotless! Cynthia made us... More

Shirley Samantha's exceeded my expectations in every way. I felt pampered because Cynthia had thought of everything I could possibly need & more--the cookies were awesome! This is my idea of what a small b&b should be, & the short bus ride to downtown & Parliament Hill turned out to be easy.

From the outside this B&B looks a little inconspicuous and there is just a little tripadvisor sign in the door window indicating that this must be the B&B you are looking for. But the inside is really awesome. It is an elegant furnished housed with big and very comfortable guestrooms. Everywhere in the house you’ll find interesting art objects. Cynthia... More

As part of a driving trip around Canada, we stayed 2 nights here to see Ottawa and was very pleased with our stay. In total we stayed at 7 different B&Bs across Canada and this one was definitely the best overall. Very comfortable room, friendly hosts, great location for seeing the city, clean and excellent value for money for the... More

We decided to have a stop over in Ottawa on our way home to Nova Scotia for our wedding anniversary. We found this BnB listed in a recommended brochure on Ottawa and decided to give it a try. This is a charming, tucked away place. We did not have a rental and walking to the heart of Ottawa only took... More

After reading the reviews on this site we decided to give this B&B a try on our trip to Ottawa. I must admit that we were not disappointed at all, Shirley Samantha's lived up to our expectations. The room was very clean, nicely decorated, and had everything we could want. The breakfasts were yummy, not to mention an artful delight.... More

We stayed at Shirley Samantha's for two days and were very impressed by the standard of the B&B. Cynthia and Paul made us feel very welcome and they went out of their way to accomodate our 18 month old son. The room was very large, en suite with lots of little extra touches like books to read, music, access to a... More

As is written on the title of this review, it was the best B&B I've stayed so far, and I've done many travelling within Canada and throughout the world. The owners were very friendly and accomodating, that I almost felt like staying at a family's place. The room was cozy and charming, with a window facing the quiet street, and... More

The perfect home from home. This is an absolutely fab bed and breakfast. The beds are extremely comfortable and the Maple room is gorgeous. Paul and Cynthia make you feel really welcome and helped us from the moment we booked. As mentioned in other reviews thae baking is amazing. I'm sure the smell is piped through the air conditioning. We highly recommend this B&B The hosts Cynthia and Paul where very gracious. "Gotta love the homemade cookies in the Study". A wonderful collection of art.. A very delicious breakfast, with elk sausage and maple syrup. Thanks for tracking down Len, after he forgot his shaving kit. Imagine finding us at Montana's. That's why we like to stay in B&Bs,...
