Arrived late at night (10:30PM) and took #97 bus from Airport to Hurdman stop, then #3 bus to Vanier & Montreal Rd. (about 10 minutes). Short 3 minute walk to hotel. Had a perfectly comfortable, truely non-smoking room for 5 days. They have a free continental Breakfast in the morning with just enough to get you going for the day,... more
Considering all the previous reviews, I was concered about what would happen when we arrived. I was pleasantly surprised! The price was a steal for what you get - I think this place is definitely a 3-star hotel or higher. It was clean, very friendly staff, good breakfast, all the extras like wireless internet (or internet in the lobby), very... more
wow...where do i start...my experience bordered on ridiculous...after my wife and i were coming back from the casino at about midnight...we thought there was a fire alarm...there was a huge crowd outside the comfort inn...as it turned out, it was a "soca" night dance...we had to drive through the crowd to find absolutely no parking...we circled the complex...party goers where... more
I booked my rooms online and recieved the internet user rate of 98.99 a night. i stayed for two nights at the end of augest. Although it was a bit of a hike to all of the main attractions, there was plenty to look at along the way! The hotel is located right beside a gas station with an attached... more
They are cheeky, really, calling this Comfort Inn 'Downtown'. It's not. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to downtown Ottawa from the Comfort Inn, but this is balanced out by the fact that this motel was the cheapest decent accomodation that my boyfriend and I could find in Canada's capital. And we don't mind walking - although one day,... more
We arrived at the Comfort Inn and everything looked good until we check out our room. The standard room that we were given was terrible, the room smelt musty and old. I usually don’t complain about rooms, however the smell was so bad I decided to. We got moved up the hallway to another similar room, that smelt ok, but... more
When we arrived at check-in time our room was not ready. After we waited for 40 minutes we were given the ok to go to the room, only after we would supply a credit card (the room was free from choice club). The rug was dirty and the bed had springs coming through it. I stay in hotels around 50... more
My wife, our 10 year old daughter and I stayed at this hotel for one night during a leisure visit to Ottawa. I booked the hotel through expedia.ca at CAD $87/night plus fees. By my calculations, the hotel is approximately 4 km from the Parliament Hill, but on the same street (Montreal Ave. becomes Rideau, which becomes Wellington). The room... more
I was there on leisure travel. Room was not very big but comfortable. Good bed, everything worked fine. We found the staff to be friendly. It's not downtown (see other reviews) but the #2 bus runs directly downtown every 10 minutes, and the #3 bus is also nearby - go to OCTranspo's site for more info. We bought our bus... more
