The reviews on here had me worried, but we had a great stay. Maybe these reviews forced them to improve. We stayed 2 nights during Winterlude. Check in was fast ... the lady behind the counter was already with someone, but took the time to say "I'll be with you in a minute" (I've stayed at places where they ignore... more
I booked two rooms (one for my husband and I, one for my elderly parents) for a two-night stay in October, arriving on a Saturday afternoon and leaving on a Monday morning. The reservation desk was empty when we arrived. The desk clerk was outside having a cigarette. The check-in was very slow. The clerk had trouble finding our reservation... more
It shouldn't take much effort to outclass this establishment. We had a printed confirmation and arrived 2 hrs after the posted check-in time only to find that our room would not be ready until at least 6pm. "Could we go out for a walk somewhere and have dinner.....maybe come back and try again??". There was a great deal of tension... more
Owner's of this property are very cheap and try to rip their guests off. First a $3.00 charge for a marketing fee (which is suppose to be 3% and optional) on a rate of $30 per night is 10% - guess the owner's are increaseing revenue. Then there are the way undercapacity ice machines - c'mon buy a bigger one... more
clean room had iron/ironing board fiddling with the heater was annoying the drain in the tub did not work great free breakfast of croissants, muffins, OJ 20 min walk to downtown friendly desk staff paid 90 CAD would stay here again more
Stayed here for one night in early September 2004. Average place, average stay. Clean, but not squeaky clean. Good location. Staff was neither rude nor unfriendly, just average again. For a Priceline bid of $35, this was worth the money, but I've stayed in much better places for the same bid of $35. more
I've returned to this one a couple of times; it's clean and friendly but with limited amenities. This is a two-story hôtel built in the heyday of the expansion of Journey's End... the original concept back then was a very inexpensive hôtel with good-quality rooms but little else. The location is good - right on the 417/Queensway, far enough east... more
