I have stayed at this hotel 1-2 times every week for the past 8 months for school. I'm a student at the university of ottawa and I wouldn't stay anywhere else. On my first visit before booking, I had to pick up a phone and get buzzed in (this was my favorite part). If you dont have a key to... More

I stayed here twice in November for 4 nights each time while on business in Ottawa. Here are the things that I really liked about the hotel: 1) Location - it is within walking distance to Byward Market and the Rideau Centre (shopping mall) and in a very quiet residential area. Some people have commented that they did not feel... More

Stayed here for 2 nights for 20th anniversary trip in jacuzzi/fireplace suite. Very spacious and well appointed. Nice touch to have hot chocolate in room instead of just coffee and tea. Tea lights provided for ambience. Did not try breakfast. Little difficult getting room temperature perfect with rads but we have no experience with them so maybe our fault. You... More

Stayed two nights on the third floor. The room was very clean and cozy, perfect for a couple. Bed was very comfortable. IPads in the room were a nice touch. No real complaints about the room or the building at all. The only downside was the parking - there are only four spots in a very open, unprotected area. If... More

We enjoyed staying at this small, very European hotel with refreshing modern decor. You are assured of a friendly welcome from the owner who also produces the most wonderful breakfasts, if you want just a coffee and toast you may not want to purchase this. The rooms as others have said are not large but they very well fitted and... More

Stayed for 5 nights. Room was perfect, well kept, and clean. Hotel close to Rideau Centre, a grocery store, and many restaurants in the Byward Market area. Owner was very pleasant and co-operative. Heard some noise on the streets as the bars closed and patrons walked home, but only for about 10 minutes each night and is to be expected... More

One of the more reasonably priced options in Downtown Ottawa. Rooms are comfortable but not very large. The hotel (really more like a B&B than a hotel) is well located, though on the seedier side of the downtown core. Breakfasts are great if somewhat pricey. The one major problem with the room was that it was extremely hot (visited during... More

Hello, Thank you for your review! We are sorry to hear that you found it too warm at the hotel! The temperature in the room is adjustable (little knob on the radiator), and all of our windows open for fresh air. We try to maintain the building at a temperature that is comfortable for all of our guests, but we... More

This is a great place to stay if you're up for trying something different than your typical Ottawa hotel. The rooms are comfortable and well kept, but it is the funky decor that really stands out. Only thing I was wary of was that noise seemed to carry easily between the rooms and the hallway, but it never became a... More

Have stayed here on two occasions and find it the perfect central location to enjoy the sights of Ottawa. Close to Parliament Hill, Rideau Canal and Byward Market. We just parked the car and walked during our three day stay. The small hotel was like being at home - quiet neighbourhood and very comfortable. Very European vibe and a friendly... More

Ottawa hotels were booked solid two weeks ago when I remembered having once been in a charming hotel, more a B&B, but very central and thus convenient. But when I called to make a reservation, they could not take me for the 3 nights I wanted but offered the Honeymoon suite for a much higher price reduced to C$ 235x3, a...
