We had a lovely weekend at here on our recent trip to Ottawa. The location was perfect for us, the Victorian accommodations engaging and Richard an amiable host. We were also charmed by his well-behaved and quiet dog, being dog-lovers ourselves. We will keep this B&B on our favourites list for future trips to the city.

This is an overdue review (we stayed in June 2012, not 2014 as I have had to select on this form!) but we had a fantastic stay here in Ottawa. Very attentive host and lovely dog :) We were able to walk into the centre of Ottawa to see everything that we wanted to. The breakfast was great, the only... More

A historic house beautifully restored and furnished with many interesting artifacts, and welcoming host, Richard and Sunny, his friendly dog. Richard provides a great introduction to Ottawa and offers helpful information about enjoying ones visit. The location is ideal for easy access to the downtown. The room and bed is comfortable, the breakfast is plentiful and delicious. We look forward to... More

This is an ideal choice of somewhere to stay in Ottawa. The location is excellent next to the University and it being an easy stroll to all the main sights. Richard (and Sunny) made us welcome and gave us a full briefing on where we were and the best routes to the Downtown area soon as we arrived. The property... More

If you want to stay in Ottawa, I strongly recommend you stay at The Auberge The King Edward Bed and Breakfast. For starters it is a beautifully restored Georgian/period (?) house within walking distance of everything you would want to see in Ottawa. It is competitively priced, has striking rooms, provides the most scrumptuous breakfast, is close to restaurants, has... More

We booked this accommodation as part of our city tour on the East Side of Canada. From the moment we arrived Richard made us very welcome. As other reviews state, he does sit you down and tells all you will need to know about Ottawa. As first timers in Ottawa this was very helpful, the MAP he printed off for... More

We were in Ottawa primarily to visit old friends. We had lived there over 30 years ago ! Location was perfect...easy walk to Parliament Buildings, Byward Market and various other sites. Richard gave us good maps and directions ! Lovely old and comfortable Victorian home. Croissants were so fresh...loved them ! The only concern that we had were the lack... More

Very nice Victorian home with a great bedroom & also we were able to use the front sitting room to relax & look at Richards collection of travel books. The garden is so beautiful. Breakfast was fabulous especially the berry muffins (homemade). Richard gave great advice on how to plan to get the most out of our time in Ottawa.... More

My husband and myself had a wedding to attend in Ottawa this August(2014) and decided to arrive a few days prior to enjoy one of our favourite Canadian cities. We stayed in the King Edward's tower room for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. The Victorian home was stunning, the room was a perfect size and we enjoyed the... More
