We will definitely return to what we renamed « Kind Richards kingdom ». Richards hospitality is genuine: you can tell he sincerely enjoys running the B&B, chatting with people about life in general or recommending a restaurant… He even helped my husband by driving him a few blocks away to his destination on the day of our departure. I was... More

We traveled to Canada for the first time to watch some of the Women's World Cup soccer games, and to see the sights of our neighboring country. Ottawa and the King Edward B&B was our first stop and we are so glad it was. The B&B is in a great location and the host (Richard) was fabulous about making recommendations... More

This was a really great large victorian house with a large common area and deck out back. Two of the 3 rooms have a private balcony. Richard was an amazing host and he really helped us out with things to do around ottawa.

I was in Ottawa recently to attend a conference at the U of O, and I had the great pleasure of staying for five nights in the lovely and comfortable Tower Room at the Auberge King Edward. My charmingly decorated room had its own sitting area, bathroom, balcony, mini-fridge, TV, and wifi. Richard has done a remarkable job of restoring... More

The King Edward was a great place to stay. A super location, very comfortable with a welcoming host. We had a fantastic weekend here and would love to stay here again. Parking was free and, being so close to everything, we were able to walk everywhere. Worth every penny we spent.

This B&B is a perfect place to stay in Ottawa. The house itself is fascinating, and the room I had (the Tower Room) was quiet and roomy, with a large sitting area, deck, and lovely ensuite bathroom. Richard is an extremely thoughtful host, with great patience and stories, and his dog Sunny is amazingly well-behaved. The breakfast was generous, healthy,... More

Perfect location near the University of Ottawa, lovely garden setting and charming, comfortable decor. And Sunny the dog is great. The only issue was that some of the other guests were loud and this made it hard to sleep.

The house is wonderful. Old fashioned, but comfortable. And the host could not have been more pleasant or helpful. It's so close to all the major attractions, yet enough off the beaten path so that there was quiet. We stayed in the Burgundy Room, with a VERY NICE outside deck with table and chairs. Great to hang out at night... More

Excellent location, excellent host! Richard is very knowledgeable of location and history. Dog Sunny was adorable! You can walk everywhere. Shopping, restaurants, attractions and museums all nearby. Richard even gave us a highlighted map. We were in the green room, but would stay in an ensuite room next time. We stayed 3 nights. Delicious fruit salad in the mornings.

We had a great stay at the B&B, it was quiet, comfortable and Richard was very welcoming. We enjoyed relaxing on the private balcony off the burgundy room and the delicious breakfast. We also liked how easy it was to walk to various attractions and amenities nearby.
