What made this accomodation stand out was our host Richard. His knowledge of Ottawa and helpfulness in planning our time made our visit very enjoyable. Also, I love the world map showing where he has travelled and where guests have come from, the incredible artwork displayed all over the house, and of course the food and proximity to town couldn't... My husband and I spent six nights at the King Edward B&B in January 2015. Our host Richard was charming and welcoming and helpful. His extensive knowledge of Ottawa and surrounding areas really enhanced our holiday. The Tower Room gave us plenty of space to spread out, read, relax and enjoy a bottle of wine. This well appointed home restored... More

The location is perfect for seeing it all and dining. The host Richard was most helpful with mapping the area and suggesting were to find the best dining and places to go. He makes a great breakfast and his dog Sunny is such a pleasure and very well behaved. Richard made us feel very welcome in enjoying his beautiful home.... More

I stayed for three days (two nights) and thoroughly enjoyed staying in the Green Room and in Richard's beautiful Victorian house near the University of Ottawa. I was within a walking distance of all of the attractions that I wished to see and even walked to the Archives in -20-degree weather! There is a vegetarian/ vegan restaurant and good English-style... A fantastic place to stay whilst visiting Ottawa. Nothing was too much trouble and Richard made sure that we could make the most of our short visit. The accomodation was homely, clean and comfortable. It what's also good to meet other guests. Be sure to add this place to your favourite list.

We stayed here December 2014. Great location at walking distance from parliament, musea and restaurants. Richard is a great host, very helpful and he finds a good balance between morning entertainment and a quiet breakfast. Rooms are spacious, clean and have a unique interior (just as the whole B&B). Would definitely stay here again. Don't go here if you do... More

I actually booked this B&B by mistake while on a business trip to Ottawa thinking I was booking a motel. It turned out to be a true serendipity. Lovely setting in a great location and a chance to interact with people rather than the relative isolation of a motel room. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely weekend at here on our recent trip to Ottawa. The location was perfect for us, the Victorian accommodations engaging and Richard an amiable host. We were also charmed by his well-behaved and quiet dog, being dog-lovers ourselves. We will keep this B&B on our favourites list for future trips to the city.

This is an overdue review (we stayed in June 2012, not 2014 as I have had to select on this form!) but we had a fantastic stay here in Ottawa. Very attentive host and lovely dog :) We were able to walk into the centre of Ottawa to see everything that we wanted to. The breakfast was great, the only... More

A historic house beautifully restored and furnished with many interesting artifacts, and welcoming host, Richard and Sunny, his friendly dog. Richard provides a great introduction to Ottawa and offers helpful information about enjoying ones visit. The location is ideal for easy access to the downtown. The room and bed is comfortable, the breakfast is plentiful and delicious. We look forward to... More
