Let me preface my remarks by saying many of the remarks I have read don't sound like the hotel I stayed in..We arrived at noontime after an eight hour drive. We had hoped to store our luggage and get out on the town.Sarah Bolton accomodated us by allowing us to ckeck in.We then wanted to take a bike ride only to...

I was a bit worried after the initial reviews on trip advisor but our stay was fine. We got an upgraded corner room which was nice - the rooms are dated but super clean and the staff is very pleasant.
The parking is really not as bad as others have made out - its prett standard parking in a big...

Took a trip to Ottawa to see the Tulip Festival (May 19/20) and stayed at Residence Inn by Marriott. Staff was very friendly and the room was clean, comfortable. The beds were so comfortable and the pillows were nice and fluffy.
The suite was spacious and it had everything to make you feel comfortable if you wanted to stay a...

We went to this hotel on May 12th for a visit of the Ottawa tulip festival. I used some free rewards certificates (Mega Bonus Visa promotion), and booked a standard studio. We were pleasantly surprised upon our arrival when they told us they had upgraded us to a corner one bedroom suite!
The suite was on the 11th floor, very...

I'm a regular guest of this hotel, often staying for 6-8 weeks at a time.
Although I have to agree with some of the comments posted (scary underground parking garage, dated hotel, garage elevator is ancient and slow, crowds for breakfast on weekends) I must also state that for the value on extended stays - it gets my high vote....

I was concerned having booked the hotel and then reading, at so late a
date, so many negative reviews that were linked to their web site.
I'm glad to say that our suite was wonderful. It was exceptionally
large and allowed us all sufficient privacy and gathering space.
As well, although, the crowd seemed exceptionally heavy
Sunday morning for breakfast,...

We regularly stay at this location because we know that it is easy to get to, rooms are large and always clean. This occasion was no different. At reception, Stephan was so pleasant and gave us a corner suite.
The room was large as usual and the jacuzzi tub one of my favourite things.
I will always recommend this Marriott...

I'll start with the positive: the rooms are very large and the location is very central. That's it.
The not so positive: the hotel is dated and unclean. The staff are neither knowledgeable nor helpful. And it's not cheap.
Our friends were in Ottawa the same weekend and booked hotels through hotwire.com. They had much nicer stays at a fraction...

As mentioned in previous review, the hotel is located near the main points of interest. If you want to be closer to the action (market, many restaurants, bistros (Pubs) and stores), you should consider the Marriott Courtyard.
This hotel offers no interesting perspective. Although it is located on a street where nothing happens, the soundproofing is poor, both inside and...
