A simple hotel but the best prices in downtown ottawa and very well-situated near the canal, downtown, and the tourist strips. I recommend it to family and co-workers when they are in town. Rooms are dated but clean and spacious. Desk staff are helpful as was the bartender in the quiet, pub-like hotel bar/resto. He knew the area well and... More

I read the reviews. People say it's outdated, with 70's decor, needs a makover, etc, etc... I can see why people say such things. As for me, I don't really care or notice though if a hotel is outdated. I'm probably outdated. I didn't come to Ottawa to spend time in my hotel room particularly--I came to enjoy the Canada... More

Needs remodel I was in executive suite thru deal find and the suite looks like it was done in 1976. It was clean but decor I would call dingy. It was close to restaurants and downtown but I think you could do better for the money! You suit yourself

The ventilation system (or AC?) was apparently broken. We were on the 11th floor and we could feel vibrations! underneath our feet and hear the loud noise that the AC system made. The decibel measure? about 65-70 decibels (I downloaded an app that measures that). This is equivalent to an average street noise. How can you go to sleep like... More

This hotel is very much outdated. The entire hotel needs a makeover. In a good location though minutes from Parliament Hill and downtown Ottawa attractions. Parking cheap $12 night but wouldn't recommend staying here.

I had booked this hotel online and realized within the same day that it was not in the area I needed to be so I cancelled the room on the same day of booking. I received a confirmation for my cancellation. I just received a charge for the room on my credit card and when I called the hotel, they... More

The hotel is in a very good location for walking around Ottawa to see the main sights. The underground parking is reasonably priced ($12/day). However, this hotel has definitely seen better days. The rooms are large & there is a small kitchen area with basic equipment. There is also a balcony but it needs work too. The sliding door did... More

We stayed here for two nights for the tulip festival on the Victoria Day weekend. In the night, the air conditioning was too cold so at midnight we called reception, - they said they couldnt switch off the ac and the whole hotel was freezing, then they came to our room to shut the vents, but the knob wasn't even... Had a horrible time. Should have read the reviews before I arrived. By then it was too late and the reviews played themselves out like a terrible nightmare on repeat. Had to change rooms because I was first told the hotel didn't have A/C turned on (was 30 degrees celsius outside) and then my room's unit was not working. Then... More

Check in took 20 min , as I stood at the reception and waited for the front desk clerk to all on the phone about his personal medical issues. I wish him well, but when a customer is in front of you waiting to check in, get off the phone . Then I went to my first room which was... More
