The only thing this hotel offers is a fantastic location. Our room's appearance was nice. It was clean. The shower tap dripped all night. There is no way to ventilate the room; the windows don't open and there is no functioning fan in the washroom. The door to the stairs is large and slammed at least a few times an... More

This hotel is pretty basic but for the price and location it did the trick. Walking distance to the parliament buildings and the market/downtown. The room also was large in size which was great. Only thing to say was that there was a mysterious stain on the shower curtain... blood?

I am not a picky person. I don't expect much either. My standards aren't that high. Having said that, I will never stay in this hotel again. I was staying in Ottawa for 5 days for work. When I checked in I told the hotel clerk that I needed a restaurant for supper. She suggested McDonald's and Subway. Perhaps that... More

Have stayed at this hotel multiple times. The biggest pro the hotel has going for itself is the location, second to none. The building/rooms are beginning to look old but the stays are always comfortable and the staff friendly. Recently they were doing renovation on the elevators, hopefully they will continue to renovate some of the rooms to bring them... More

I received a great price to be staying in the center of Ottawa. We never had to pay for a cab or public transit when touring around because we were so close to everything! Overall it was an average hotel; the bed was not the most comfortable, but the room was huge! If you're looking for the best bargain the... More

- Lines at the front desk. - Personnel not friendly at all (actually they try to be friendly but they are stressed out because absolutely not enough attendants at the front desk for this human flow) - Mess in the hall - Elevator very slow - Parking around the corner - Very hard to find spot for the car at... It is a bit older building, but the hotel is centrally located with decent rooms. Comfortable and clean while the service is not bad. You feel it has been renovated somehow recently, and needs more renovations, but for the rate, it is great. Few minutes away from Parliament Hill, the Rideau Canal and everything in the centre of Ottawa. Recommended... More

I've stayed at a number of hotels over my years and this hotel at the moment is at the bottom of my list. My company booked me in for a three day stay likely due to cost - and for a hotel that is not only in our nation's capital but in one of the best locations in the city... More

I have stayed at this hotel 4 times over the years. it looks like they have finally renovated part of the place, though only one elevator was working during my stay. Again, if you are looking for a 4/5 star, this is not the place. The rooms are still a bit dated, but clean. Quick walk to Parliament, staff was... More

The location of this hotel is pretty good, as it's within a few minute walk from Parliament Hill, and other things such as the Rideau Centre, the Rideau Canal, Byward Museum, etc. However, the hotel is fairly outdated and in need of some renovation. The staff here was friendly and accommodating with any requests, which is always a plus.
