This hotel is incredibly clean and quiet. Located on the major street, Carling, it is easy to enter and exit. It sits right next door to a well known hotel chain where I stayed only four months previous. I wish I had stayed at the Embassy West then. The Embassy has a much better rate. Appearance is cleaner. The bathroom... More

I was booked here for a week while on Business. The room had a kitchenette which was useful however the majority of this facility is an assisted living retirement home. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms and halls did have a urine smell that I remembered from my grandmothers nursing home. I kept my window open 24-7 and... More

I booked this "hotel" thinking it was your traditional EMBASSY property. When I pulled into the parking lot, the sign read "Embassy West - Senior Residence", I was confused! When I entered the property, I realized that it was a senior residence/hotel. I didn't even know that such a combination existed. I was not impressed because I felt misled. If... More

If I know it is a senior living apartment, I wouldn't choice to stay here. I am expecting a "Embassy" quality. I wanted a hotel but I felt like I was in a nursery. I do respect elderly! But this is not I expect. I was so disappointed. I felt so uncomfortable when I walked into the room. There are... More

This was by far the worst hotel that I ever stayed in. The bathroom stunk like sewer and it was just not nice. Very dirty hotel as well. I promise that I will never think about staying here again. I even said to me husband let's go to another hotel and be out the 100.00 because it would have been... More

We had booked this hotel at last minute. Did not get check review before booking. My experiences When we entered we felt a "hospital smell" because of senior living facilty in bldg. Did not have high hopes initially but we had a good experience. Pros - The room was very very clean, the wood floor was such a relief from... More

Checked in today, and ask the front desk clerk why on his hotel shirt it said "Senior Living"? He then told me that the hotel was half converted into a Home for the Aged, and half Hotel.. This explained the sing along in the dinning room, and the many lonely eyes looking at the new people checking in. I highly... More

Witha great location close to downtown, this was easy to find. The front staff fellow (a college student) was extremely helpful and even gave us a parking pass to park out font. He was knowledgeable and personable. The room was HUGE and clean and very comfortable. There was a sitting area and a small kitchen also. We slept great. We... More

I have stayed at this hotel a few times since a family member moved into the assisted living that is on some of the floors. The staff has always been welcoming and kind. The rooms are clean and comfortable, although fitted with railings and such. I have rarely heard any sound from other rooms, although the hotel was fully booked... More

It's a hospice not a hotel. They seem to be renting vacant rooms, in hallways otherwise with permanent elderly residents (some sites suggested that some floors were reserved for elderly - clearly most or all of the others on my floor were for elderly) . Room comes complete with panic alarms next to bed and shower, rails to get onto... More
