Needed a bed close to downtown for an early meeting. The Econo Lodge had a great price and was a short walk to Byward Market. The room was a little beat up - the sink had half the laminate ripped (?) off it and was showing particle board, but nonetheless the bathroom was clean, as was the rest of the... More

I stayed at this hotel in march of 2012. I have stayed here in the past and I do not feel much has changed. The breakfast is standard bagels, danish, fruit, 2 types of cereal, milk, coffee and juice. I found the hotel quiet and there were some rooms under going renovations while I was there. The beds were comfortable... More

I've got to say that this is such a Great place to stay if you're in the downtown area. It's in a strategic location-close to the City centre and therefore making trips to places such as the Rideau Centre, Parliament Hill, High Commissions/Embassies, Byward Market and Museums a close walk rather than using public transportation. As a 'World traveller' I've stayed... Three of us stayed at this hotel, for a long weekend during This September, yes it is very old and tired,BUT where else can you stay in Ottawa for $33.66 a night per head including breakfast and parking, in a very easy, pleasant, walk away from everything!!!! All of The Staff were outstanding, After accidentally leaving the Do Not Disturb... More

This property is only fair. Rooms are outdated, Room 122, somewhat threadbare, but nice people, great microwave, mini fridge was fine, but no freezer. Very small bathroom. Location is about 20 minutes brisk walk from downtown center (ByWard Market area). Free parking is a perk.

Our family of 4 ended up staying in Ottawa for a day. We booked this hotel because of it's close proximity to the Parliament Hill and a reasonable price ($105 with AMA discount). Everything was at a low-scale, except the brakefast. Breakfast was reasonable and staff were very friendly! There were stores in a walking distance (3-5 min.), so you... More

Stayed here for one night. Friendly staff, and a decent continental breakfast in the morning. Rooms are tired and in need of a renovation. But for an overnight stay, and 80 dollar price tag, it did the trick....

This place is 100 a night. No frills very basic old worn out room. The bathmat was filthy, the soaps and shampoos are of the lowest quality. The towels are paper thin and the house keeping don't clean properly. All the furniture is old and worn out. The hot water wasn't working. The ice machine was broken.

Check in was smooth with very friendly front desk attendant. We got our room, it was on the 2nd floor and we had to lug all our stuff up a gross stairwell to the 2nd floor. We entered our room and it smelled of someone trying to mask horrible body odour smell with incense. My kids and I could not... More
