10 min to down town by taxi, but close to local large shopping mall and lot of restaurants. Sauna and pool for relaxing. Nice and friendly staff. more

My wife and I stayed there on June 1-2/09. The next day she started itching and developed welts all over her body, somebody told her it looked like bed bug bites. We got home on the night of the 3rd and I still hadn"t noticed anything on myself but there were more areas developing on my wife. The next day,... more

The hotel meets the basic needs - a place to shower and sleep. Although showering becomes interesting when the tap is labelled wrong and the 'hot' water comes out freezing cold. While I had the necessities supplied (shampoo, soap), another person in our group was missing items...perhaps this was just a minor oversight. But the biggest disappointment was the restaurant.... more

We stayed here on 2-3 May, 2009. The hotel staff upgraded our Internet reservation (www.hotwire.com) from a regular Queen bed room to an executive room with a king bed on the 10th floor. The room smelt clean and fresh when we entered. We found everything we needed: a housecoat for our use, the bathroom and carpet were clean and the... more

With another colleague in the same room but different beds, both of us got horrible spider bites overnight (conclusion from doctor at a walk-in clinic). The rashes were very itching, we ended up checking out early and stayed at another hotel. more

This Chimo Hotel lacks in curb appeal. This is an older hotel that truly shows it’s age. There are band aids in place to “spruce up the look” but you won’t be fooled. There is a seating area off the main lobby, and the material on the couches is so worn, the foam is showing. The rooms are small, but... more

Pulled into Hotel Chimo lookng for a room for the evening as we had a family function the next day. Reception personnel were great. The room was clean and spacious with a great view facing west and north. Price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend the dining room as to service, food selection and price. It was fine dining... more

We are very disappointed in the Chimo. We stayed there for 3 nights and left 2 items in the room when we checked out. We realized 1 hour down the road that we have left these 2 items on the desk. I immediately called the hotel to inform them that we had left the items on the desk in the... more

There's nothing particularly "bad" about the Chimo. There's nothing particularly good either. The room is decent in size and cleanliness. Here are the disappointments - bed is soft - internet access is free but requires a password (why wasn't this provided at check in?) - one bottle of generic, overly perfumed shampoo/conditioner - generic soap - generic coffee - no... more

My husband and I stayed at the Chimo Hotel for four nights and attended a wedding there. The Good Stuff: The lobby was modern and clean, and the front desk staff was very polite and helpful. Housekeeping was also very helpful and attentive. There is a good mall within very short walking distance. There is a bus station at the... more
