Generally the place seems to be being slowly renovated. The public areas are nice and there are Mac's and Playstations free to use in the lobby. The wireless internet is hopelessly overloaded and therefore very slow - annoyingly slow for business users, particularly since it is no better in the business conference rooms (don't try giving a live internet presentation... more

Some of my colleagues have stayed here previously and were not happy with the state of the hotel, so I was preparing myself for the worst. As it turns out, the staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean and a good size. And my bed is very comfy! However, I could use a little more light for my... more

We pre-booked/paid for this hotel for 4 nights and upon arrival, we advised the check in clerk that we may need an extra night. He told us we could ask for the pre-paid rate of $135 when we decide to do so. When we did decide we were offered a higher rate but the pre-paid rated of $135 was accepted... more

The hotel is very clean, the room was big and internet very fast. It's very well located, in a small commercial center, so you don't even need to go outside to take the subway. Everything was all right before I received my bill. What a surprise when I saw that they charged me with things I didn't take or used... more

Many thanks for your feedback. Let me assure you our intention is never to "rip off" hotel guests. The mini bars have auto sensors that charge directly to room accounts, however our team members are empowered to "make the guest happy" and if that involves correcting accounts... well that is their decision... so i hope that you did leave happy...

We have gone to Toronto quite often recently and are always looking for the most value, while staying in a decent hotel, in an area that is close to where we want to go. Most of the time I’m happy if I can get a place near the subway and just park the car. We normally stay in the city,... more

Many thanks for your kind words. I hope that you enjoyed the concert and Toronto Zoo, we are a great location for both venues. Thank you also for your valuable fedback about the mini bars, it is always good to hear from the guest perspective. I hope to welcome you back in the future. Regards, Michael S.

This is a great find - up to Novotel's usual (high) standards, and at a bargain price through Travel Republic. The hotel is located a 25 minute subway ride from downtown, but the subway station is right by the hotel so it's much more convenient than many downtown locations, and safer for a woman on her own, as I was.... more

Many thanks for your feedback, especially about room service. We close the restaurant and room service at 10pm, really due to a lack of demand... however we do offer a late night sandwich menu, which we should have explained to you. Hurry back soon.. regards, Michael S.

I stayed here for a couple of months in April-May timeframe. The front staff are not friendly or welcoming. As a business traveller, I book well in advance to get the best rates. Having done this and been assured my rate was "booked" into the system by the Front Staff. I was astonished to find the Service Manager mention that... more

Thank you for submitting a hotel review. I'm sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us, i have requested my colleagues to investigate the issue with your reservation and rates, however if we had shown greater empathy and understanding during your check in I am sure that you would have had a better stay.... well, gives me something...

Air-conditioning really didn't work. It would only allow you to drop the temp 2 degrees every hour and it turned back up to 82 every day. It only had 1 sheet on the bed and we were told this was the "European standard." They assured us that the blanket was washed every day, so that's comforting. I requested the second... more

My wife and I recently went online and booked a theater package at this hotel. Unfortunately, when the staff processed the booking, they emailed us that they had no king bed rooms available as advertised and could only offer us a double bed room. We wrote back that although we would be celebrating a wedding anniversary, we'd understand if that... more
