We recently held our business Christmas party at the Voyager Inn and were very pleased with how everything turned out. Tracy was very helpful in getting all the arrangements sorted out and I felt confident leaving the details in her hands. The room was decorated nicely, and the food and beverage service was outstanding. On top of the great service,... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. These are helpful to us. I am sorry that you were not offered another room to stay in as what you describe is simply unacceptable. We've since hired a housekeeping supervisor and our maintenance department has been made aware of the deficiencies you've listed. This hotel has not been improved... More

We stopped here for a night in Thunder Bay. There were 3 guys traveling on motorcycles and most motels do not have rooms with 3 beds. This one had a suite and worked out very well. There was no air conditioning but I guess that is normal in this area. The room was stuffy and we left the door open... More

Thank you for your review. We appreciate the comments as they help us to improve. We are in the midst of improvements throughout the hotel. It's such a large place that it's difficult to see the improvements but we are aware that we can do better. Please try us again next time you're riding through town! More

I was able to find a room on a long weekend on very short notice. The host was very accommodating and friendly. The price was reasonable considering the circumstances. I would stay here again if need be.

I'll just say that the Voyager Inn in North Bay is ugly, noisy, let down and dirty. Good thing I was in good company during my stay there or I would have simply left. There are som many nicer hotels and motels on Lakeshore Drive (and less crowded), don't waste your money on this place, no matter how cheap it... More

Thank you for sharing your honest opinion of the Voyager Inn. We have been working to ensure that the hotel is both clean and welcoming. We've heard from some of our customers that we need to more seriously address the issues in this review and others like it. We have hired a housekeeping supervisor and have implemented many improvements over... More

I had to stay here for a hospital visit, I truly love how the front desk seem like a family. The lady at front desk has great sense of humour. The owners themselves helped us carry our luggage to our room, made sure we were comfortable. We were allowed to check in at 10 am on a weekday. Only down... More

I stayed four days due to a truck break down rooms are not bad people who work there are nice clean rooms nice beds very quiet.the only down side is that they don't have a restaurant in it I guess it's more important to have a bar to get customers drunk then to have a nice place to eat.do not... Our stay at the Voyager Inn, North Bay, was nothing short of terrible. What a disappointment. The noise from other rooms was so disturbing that we finally asked the hotel clerk to intervene about 4:00 a.m. He basically refused to do anything about the noise, insinuating that we were overreacting, and at 4:15 a.m. we had to leave and find... Hi there. I am very sorry that you had this experience here. Our staff members are trained to respond to customer situations in the best way possible. We failed in this case. The reviews of The Voyager scared me, but I'm so glad a friend (who often works in North Bay and stays here regularly) insisted I try it. My family and I had a great stay here with requested adjoining rooms with our best friends. The front desk staff were wonderful, friendly, big on service and super accommodating. Our room was... Old stained carpets. Holes in screen. No hair blower or fan in washroom. Very noisy from bar. Bed was comfy and clean. Fridge was nice and clean and microwave also. The first post I read here is a owner or worker. I don't know why he posted the review. I can appreciate renos are expensive . This needs BIG improvements.... More

Thanks for the review, these really do tell us what our customers want and need in order to revive this former landmark. We've taken your advice on the smoking rooms and we are now working to change the configuration to accommodate those who don't wish to be near smoking. As a non smoker myself, I can understand the need for... More
