My wife and I celebrated our 10-year anniversary with an overnight stay at the Apple Tree. Our first time in Niagara on the Lake and we couldn't have been more pleased with our accommodations and overall experience. Gail and Dave are such hospitable hosts and have a lovingly restored property (1820 original structure!). Our only regret was lack of time... More

A very big thank you Brett for mentioning all the things you enjoyed about your stay at Apple Tree B&B. The communal table gets everyone talking and conversing and many people echo your thoughts about it being the highlight of their stay. Thanks too for mentioning the clean, well appointed rooms with nice attention to detail. The bike trails are... More

Lovely old historic home within walking distance of everything. The home is older with a lovely sitting area and kitchen. The hosts are full of information and very welcoming to guests. Complimentary tea and coffee is a nice add in.

Thank you for your kind recommendation Yvonne. We try to be as informed as possible on what is going on in Niagara and pass this information along to visitors. Complimentary tea and coffee is something we added this year and people seem to be enjoying it. More

My girlfriends and I were celebrating a very special event and we chose the Apple Tree as an overnight stop. The owners were so accommodating and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. The rooms were comfortable and our breakfast was delicious. We had a great visit with them over breakfast and it made our stay!!! We would definitely go back.

I stayed in the Golden Delicious room. It was so pretty and clean and quiet with a beautiful updated ensuite bathroom. Apple Tree B&B was a wonderful experience from the moment I parked the car. We had a picnic lunch with us and Dave ensured the garden pagoda was ready for us. The garden was beautiful. Breakfast was a wonderful... More

Thanks Ami08. The garden structure provides a shady spot for guests to share a picnic or glass of wine. It was truly a pleasure to host your group. Oh yes and anybody that brings me delectable home made butter tarts like those ones will get VIP service in this establishment! More

I just spent one night at this lovely historic B & B. The hostess very welcoming and the room was clean and cheerful....nicely decorated. Private bathroom was sweet. She gave us advice on places to eat and visit. Breakfast was delicious...fresh, in season peaches with fresh Bakery scones accompanied by a lovely egg and prosciutto entree. All the guests sat... Gale & Dave are wonderful innkeepers. Both very friendly, accommodating and very hard working; Gale is like a little sprite! We stayed for two days on a Canadian Holiday Weekend. My husband and I were satisfied with our room-very clean and adequate. Breakfasts were very good, it was fun to sit and talk with other guests. We really enjoyed our... More

Room not ready despite arriving at their specified check in time. No shoes policy - even flip flops. What's with pseudo Victoriana ? Leftover Christmas decorations do not work in July. Random 'treasures' everywhere made the place messy and unappealing. And then there was the breakfast fiasco. NO MILK available in this household !!!! Only half and half cream or... More

So sorry we were unable to meet your expectations on every level. Check in time is between 12 and 2PM for a very good reason. Theatre fans appreciate the opportunity to be received early. This is primarily for the convenience of guests attending an afternoon performance which starts at 2PM. The rooms are not always ready upon arrival but at... More

Very beautiful bed and breakfast in an excellent location, minutes away from all areas of interest. Quality of service exceeded my expectations; I always thought Bed and Breakfasts provide merely what the name suggests, but the hosts put forth the effort to find out what we were looking for and were very knowledgeable about the things to do and see... We stayed here for 2 night on our honeymoon touring Canada. When we arrived the male owner (very sorry forgotten name) could not be more friendly and helpful. He talked us through all the best places to visit and was spot on with his restaurant recommendations which we later tried. The house itself feels very welcoming and has a magical... More
