We have stayed at this hotel a number of times and would recommend it to anyone travelling to Niagara on the Lake. It's in a great location, only a few minutes' walk to downtown NOTL and close to many wineries. We keep going back because of 2 things - the value and the service. It's far less expensive than any... more

Was a great hotel, close walk to town. Was quite less money than other more pricey inn's and B+B's. I am not into B+B's, so this was great, still got a great room and breakfast! Rooms were very quiet and well equipped. Continental breakfast was so much nicer than other hotels, made our own waffles!! Would definitely recommend this hotel! more

Fantastic friendly staff, happy to help and advise. Stayed for only one night unfortunately as they were fully booked the following night. Breakfasts are absolutely superb... Make your own waffles, cereals, fruit, selection of breads etc. Rooms are large and quiet. Excellent value overall. Recommended for all ages. more

This hotel is a decent value in a VERY expensive town. The location is just over a half-mile from the center of town. We love walking, and we walked it several times. An okay stay but a few problems.. I was turned off at first by the front desk person who was on the phone when I walked up to... more

Good location - very close to the shops and restaurants but not close enough to walk. Room was very clean but also very tired. Staff was friendly and helpful. We were originally planning to stay at Hilton Garden Inn but this was $60 less per night and much closer to town. more

My boyfriend is a farmer and this was our first weekend away and his first weekend off in over 6 months. We wanted to get away relax and but still have a good time. After checking out many properties in the Niagra On The Lake area we decided to choose the Colonel Butler because of the price, wow were we... more

Had not planned on staying at this hotel but we were having such a great time in Niagara on the Lake that we decided to add on another night and we were able to get a room here. This is a great hotel to stay in if you are looking for a clean, nicely decorated hotel with really nice people... more

I used TripAdvisor to book 5 hotels for an 11 day trip of Canada, starting in Niagara on the Lake and ending in Sutton, Quebec. Car or bike is suggested if you stay at the BW Colonel Butler Inn but it is conveniently located for meals, winery visits and away from the traffic associated with Niagara on the Lake in... more
