Hotel was centrally located to everything. You could walk to the main town within seconds!! There is a pub downstairs of the hotel. Not the best food, but drinks were cold. Good beer selection!! Nicki at the front desk was wonderful. She fixed an issue we had with a gift card & we'll be back because of her. My only... More

Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, is a small town in the Niagara Region, located right where the Niagara River flows into Lake Ontario. It is a Victoriam gem - - about as far from the trashy motels and T-shirt shops of Niagara Falls, NY, as can be imagined. Founded in the 18th Century, orginially named "Newark" (smart to dump that, eh?) and fortified... More

The Coach and Horse pub (basement restaurant) is a good effort at an English pub. Pleasant atmosphere, reasonable beer & wine selection and the special of the day - for $5 was soup and BLT on a bun. Both were good and enjoyable. Wine was $8.50 = more than the lunch. With tip for 2 of us = $25.00

I recently traveled to NOTL for a special birthday weekend with my boyfriend. He did all of the bookings and therefore I did not know what to expect. At the Moffatt Inn, my expectations were blown away. I am generally not a fan of smaller inns/bed and breakfasts, but the Moffatt Inn changed my views. This Inn was lovely, renovated... More

We stayed at this hotel with our newborn child (5 weeks old). We came home from a wedding at 1 a.m. and our child was sleeping. Therefore we made a strong effort to stay very quiet when entering the room. Still, 5 min. after we came home the guard of the hotel came and knocked at our room complaining that... More

We wish to apologize for the lack of professionalism that you experienced while visiting the Moffat Inn. We were absolutely shocked to learn about your experience. We agree that this is not acceptable. The Inn does use an outside security company to staff the overnight shift and we have shared this complaint to ensure the proper coaching is done or... More

The Moffat Inn is a great place for a stay in Niagara-on-the-Lake; it is conveniently located for walking to the theater, shopping, etc. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are very small, however. Last year (2010) we stayed in a room that was in the least expensive category, and in addition to the small room, the bathroom was... More

My husband and I stayed at the Moffat Inn On Wednesday, Sept 28,2011. Although we have made many trips to NOTL, we never stayed at the Moffat Inn. I can honestly say this is the cutest place I have stayed in quite some time. We stayed in a traditional room (rate 169.00) and could not have been happier with the... More

This charming 20 room totally non-smoking hotel is well located on the main street, a five minute walk to the Shaw Theatre, a Catholic Church across the street, and downtown Niagara on the Lake (NOTL) and a ten or fifteen minute walk to Fort George and the mouth of the Niagara River on Lake Ontario. One of several hotels run... More

Visited NOTL for 3 days in September. Enjoyed our stay at the Inn. Though it is showing it's age it was a lovely stay. We had the suite which was very spacious, clean and well supplied. It was a great location to walk all around the area. Staff was pleasant and very helpful. Would recommend it.

We spend a week in NOTL every summer, and have stayed at several of the popular hotels and guest houses. To be honest, all of them have been acceptable to superior, but the Moffat has become our favorite. We typically travel as 4 adults, and the Moffat has a "penthouse" flat that accommodates up to 6, with 2 bedrooms, 2... More
