Wow, it was larger than some apartments. I would return to book this room based on price and privacy. The location couldn't be any better when staying in Niagara on the Lake. The staff are very friendly and accommodating at the Moffit. We enjoyed the good value and cleanliness. Keep in mind it is a vintage property, but that adds... More

This was our first stay at the Moffat but we've stayed at the Prince of Wales. This hotel is smaller and well-located in the Old Town section of Niagara-on-the-Lake. It is clean but a little bit older. Lots of stairs that might be a consideration for older patrons. A good value for money.

We stayed at the Moffat Inn over a Saturday night. Good sized parking lot at the back, with an entrance into the hotel. Short walk to the reception area and a pleasant staff member who checked us in. The room we had - up a longish flight of fairly steep steps (no elevator) - was clean and pleasant, although small;... More

Staying at the Moffat Inn is always a pleasure. It is on the main street in Niagara-on-the-Lake, so it is convenient to everything the village has to offer. It is a few minutes walk to the Festival Theatre and not too long a walk to the other two theaters in the village. The Inn is over 125 years old, but... More

I have been a past vintage hotel property vistor, and have enjoyed my stays in the past. This was the first time I was at the Moffat Inn. I was in the penthouse at the inn, and although I was really impressed with the space and the room itself I and my fellow guests were disappointed at the lack of... More

Just returned from a one night's stay at The Moffat. Yesterday was a warm day when we checked in-we were given room 132 in the annex. At first, the room appeared adequate, although the back hallway leading to the room was dirty and very hot. The room as well was very warm. We attempted to adjust the thermostat and left... More

Pros: Location, convenient parking, blissfully quiet, connections to amenities around town at nicer Vintage hotels. We enjoyed signing for tabs at the Prince of Wales and Queen's Landing--no need for a credit card. Cons: Unconscionably tiny rooms. There's no excuse. Knock down a couple of walls, Moffat. Guests have almost no surfaces to put down a keyring or a hairbrush.... More

We stayed here 4/22/14 and were very much looking forward to a much needed getaway. The location was excellent with shops, theatres and restaurants within easy walking distance. The room was shabby, the furniture looked like castoffs, the wallpaper was peeling, and the room was up a steep & dark stairwell. And the stairwell badly needed vacuuming. We felt that... More

We visited the Moffat Inn during the off season, which is a lovely time to visit Niagara. The inn has a nice traditional feel about it, with clean attractive rooms. The front desk staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The inn is on the main street of Niagara on the Lake, within easy walking distance to shopping and dining. They... More

This is not your run of the mill chain hotel. The rooms are charming down to the antique lamps and upgraded bathroom amenities. It's within walking distance of countless shops and restaurants. The ONLY downside would be the noise - we had a street-side room and could hear all the passersby rather clearly. The soundproofing inside the inn could be... More
