Our room was stunning - corner lake view, fireplace, giant bed, great decor. The complementary bottle of wine was Weir Estates. The pedicure was 90 minutes. Restaurant Tony DeLuca was an incredible culinary experience. The location of the hotel is perfect for walks. And the service was friendly and attentive. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone. more

I recently visited the spa at the Oban Inn and was very impressed with everything from the service to the peaceful atmosphere. Every little detail has been attended to from the furniture to the gently flowing water falls to the attentive staff. The view from the many windows and the inviting fireplace give warmth and relaxation to the visitor. This... more

Want to start with the positives...the room itself was fantastic, breakfast in bed was marvelous, aromatherapy massage was exceptional HOWEVER...for those staying in the garden rooms near the pool with the quaint terrace and the double beds...at 6:55 AM the kitchen's industrial size fan comes on and sounds alarming, quite literally, like a plane is going to land. It woke... more

This was our third consecutive year at the Oban Inn. We have seen the transformation occur, and would like to offer the flip side to the comments that are bemoaning the changes. Change is good. Fresh decor, furniture, and linens make the rooms and dining area a treat to occupy. Beds are unbelievabley comfortable, and rooms are immaculate and gorgeous.... more

The Oban Inn was once an old stage coach stop. It became a high class country hotel with a Lounge Bar full of Shaw Festival memorabiliar, and a first class dining room. The old inn is gone. The dining room area is now a Health Spa, the memorabalioa have all gone to make way for a pretentious dining room with... more

How sad, a beautiful Inn, completely ruined by someone's lack of vision. What happened to the beautifully recontructed with original artifacts, decor inn. The great pub is now gone, with actor's corner and all. The tartan carpet and its original trim completely removed to amke way for a fad. And look at the outrageous overpriced menu, where's the pub fare... more

My husband and I had a weekend at the Oban Inn last weekend. The room was beautiful , however the rest of the inn is under constuction. There is no cocktail lounge , dining room or bar available. There is a small sitting room they have converted into a dining room. Having said all this, I would definitely go back... more

My husband and I decided to spend a weekend in Niagara-on-the-Lake since it is only 3 hour drive from our home in Michigan. We wanted to stay in an authentic and quaint place. The Oban Inn was recommended by my friend who had visited this charming town. The helpful receptionist Leslie took us to our room (#15) and our first... more

We have been staying at the Oban for over 25 years (both pre and post fire, and pre and post ownership change). It is now part of the Vintage Inns, a group of NOTL hotels owned by a brother and sister from Hong Kong. While there have been some positive changes, it is hard to replace the cozy familiarity we... more

We were at the Oban Inn for two nights in August 04. The room was incredibly small, almost claustrophobic with dark furniture and intensely patterned flowered wallpaper. The tv was a cheap small model and the bedding was substandard. We had a window looking out on the back lane! We had a meal from the lounge one night and it... more
