First and foremost, the things that matter most in a hostel can be found at ACBB; extremely helpful and informative staff, a sense of community among all the backpackers, very close to all major attractions, and a safe and welcoming environment. Patrick and Shelly are great; Shelly even gave me a grocery bag full of muffins and fruit for the... More

When I visited, Nathan, the owner, was the coolest guy ever. He had tons of non-falls things to do while in town. He actually gave me a bike ride to Niagara On the Lake to the Angel Inn (oldest pub in Canada) with tons of stuff on the way to do and see! It was the best part of my... More

This hostel has a very good and safe location in Niagara Falls. It's only a few minutes walk to get to the Clifton Hill where you find all restaurants and attractions. This place is under renovation, which is why they lack of electricity and WIFI. They have set up a few plugs outside the bathroom that are available a couple... More

Great place to stay in Niagra Falls. Affordable, clean, and friendly owners. Walking distance to everything. We took all of Patrick's advice and enjoyed ourselves off the beaten path in Niagra. If you are looking for a simple place to sleep and a personal interaction with locals, this is the place to stay.

This is my second time I have bee in to Niagara Falls area. Both of my trips have been great but different, the first time my wife and me arrived to a luxury hotel next to the horseshoe falls. Amazing experience but not the real Niagara. The second time I decided to go by myself, for one full week before... More

We recently stayed and we really enjoyed the place. It is a short walk (about 10 minutes) from the falls, and not more than 5 minutes to most bars and restaurants. Patrick is really helpful and provided us with good information and advice about all the places we had to visit and what to steer clear from. Shelly even made... More

The hostel owner Patrick is very kind and informative. He suggested us to visit to source (Lake Erie) and exit point (Lake Ontario) of Niagara river along with falls which most people do not cover. he sketched the maps of routes..now the things to improve is the facility..during our visit the hostel did not have all day electricity (they had... This hostel is in my top three. Why? Because Patrick and Shelly have a simple yet wonderful guideline: make their guests happy. ACBB i one of the very few places that truly understands backpackers and their needs & wishes. It is affordable, has a great location and valuable advise is offered whenever needed. It feels as if you're invited to... More

I stayed here for 3 nights last september. We traveled Niagara with a group of 12 people and had just one washroom - lucky the other floors weren't occupied as much due to the end of the season, but even still we sometimes got problems with the low number of washrooms. What was worse: Our breakfast wasn't half as much... More

This was a good find as Niagara hotels and guesthouses are expensive. The hostel is in a decent location just off Clifton Hill but not close enough to be disturbed by it. We had a private double room which was clean and spacious. Bathrooms were good and cleaned everyday. The owner Patrick was very knowledgeable and wants everyone to get... More
