Excellent value for money; dinner, movie, breakfast and an overnight stay - perfect for that 1-night getaway. If you need an everning out and good meal, then a trip to the local movie venue to watch the latest release. Have a great room to sleep in and then a good breakfast then this is the package you should take and... More

I had the pleasure of attending a company brunch yesterday at the Windemere Manor and to say my experience was beyond my expectations would be an understatement. I have been before - a couple of weddings and an engagement party - and as always, the surroundings and the building are beautiful. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating however... I recently stayed 2 days here in a Queen Suite. The rooms were somewhat dated but this really fits in with the era of the buildings. The beds were very comfortable and the suite had a microwave fridge and table albeit somewhat dated. The surroundings are lovely and it is quite secluded. If you like quiet older settings I think... My family and I stayed there last year and the decision was based on the picture of the hotel when were browsing. I viewed it as a grand and elegant hotel that has a lot of history in it. When we arrive there, I've confirmed that it has a lot of history indeed - it's old. The hotel lobby was... More

But not in the best possible way. Western University put me up here (it's right next door) when I was in town. The musty smell made me think that I was visiting grandma's house way back in the day at first, and the restaurant had a distinctly 1970s Muskoka screened in porch feel. It was comfortable and clean. The bed,... More

When I saw the beautiful photo and website, I expected an elegant experience. This isn't exactly how it turned out, although I did sleep well. But elegant it was not. Maybe it was just my room, but the bathroom was quirky, including faucet handles on the sink that were just plain wonky. The furnishings and carpet were old and outdated,... More

I was visiting Western and they kindly put me up in this place near their campus because their usual accommodations had no vacancy. My room was the king suite, with some home-like comfortable furniture. It was on the first floor at the east end of the building, and there was some noise from an outside fan or heating component. My... More

They treated us as honoured guests and I cannot thank them enough. The city of London and the Staff at Windermere made this a truly unforgettable week. Out stay was 5 nights and we were part of a group of 50 guests who attended the World Figure Skating Championships. From the check in process to the check out the staff... More

Located on the property of Western University, this was my fourth stay at this hotel. Although a good 10 minutes from downtown, this quaint manor-like hotel has excellent service and beautiful suites. In town for the World Figure Skating Championships, the price of the hotel included a cold breakfast buffet during the week and a hot buffet on Saturday and... More
