Spent our week with Joan and Bill. The breakfasts were fantastic and Bill and Joan are gracious hosts. Simon is a delight and is a well behaved little fella. The location is fantastic if you want to park and walk to all the sights that Kingston has to offer. It felt very safe and welcoming in the area and we... More

My daughter and I stayed at the Summer House while visiting Queens University. The Inn is in a great location - we crossed the street and were a half block from the harbor, we walked 5 minutes and were in the heart of downtown. Our hosts were pleasant, our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely, and they accommodated... More

I really really liked this bed and breakfast. I've had some less than stellar experiences in other bead and breakfasts and this makes up for it in leaps and bounds! The bed was comfy and everything was SPOTLESS! There was a street concert going on the night we stayed but once you closed the windows (and turned on the A/C)... More

We arrived in Kingston without a reservation on a Monday night and found this Inn with the help of the tourist information center. Joan was pleasant and accommodated our special needs (place to park our bikes for the night and early breakfast), The inn is clean and close to town. I would stay there again.

My family of four stayed in 2 rooms at the Summer House Inn for 5 days in July/August. We loved it! Our hosts Joan and Bill (and their precious dog) were delightful. The house is lovely. Breakfast was delicious with generous portions. The location is perfect too.... a short walk to the quaint downtown of Kingston with shops and restaurants... More

I had a wonderful stay at the Summer House. While the lodgings were lovely (an impressive heritage home), it is the service that I received that will bring me back to the Summer House. My host Bill was extremely hospitable and accommodating. Knowing I would be out late in the evenings, Bill let me determine what time breakfast was served... More

We recently stayed one night an Summer House Inn. The location is perfect as you can walk to the main sites, shops, restaurants and waterfront. Our room was very nice and comfortable. There was a loud window air conditioner which we left on when we were not in the room. The ceiling fan and regular fan were fine while we... More

Of the three inns we stayed in during our vacation in Montreal, Kingston and Toronto the Summer House Inn came in third. I found the inn on the Internet and reviews seemed pretty good. What we found was a pretty room with a somewhat noisy in-the-window air conditioner. The inn itself was not air-conditioned and the days we were there... More

My husband, myself, and our 14 year old daughter stayed overnight this past weekend. The lovely home was very comfortable and nicely decorated. Our breakfast was delicious and we had everything we needed. The proximity to restaurants downtown was great.

Joan was very hospitable, we felt that we were at home and made to feel very comfortable and welcome. The Autumn Room was lovely, clean and spacious, a tiny but very nice bathroom with shower and plenty of space for the two of us. I loved the feeling of being able to explore this wonderful old historic building, then sit... More
