We recently passed through Kingston en route to Boston via Vermont. We arrived in Kingston without a hotel booking but after quickly comparing the Holiday Inn versus the Radisson we decided on the latter. We really liked the position of the hotel sitting right above the harbour. The room was excellent and we appreciated the style of the room and... more
Good waterfront location, next to charming Confederation Park...withing walking distance of many downtown restaurants and attractions. Paid $199 (CDN), which seems a bit steep---but Kingston's hotels appear to be more expensive than those of Ottawa, Toronto, and Montreal; perhaps because of the sheer volume of rooms in those cities. Indoor parking was no problem for our MINI, but it was... more
We stayed at this hotel for a family event. The rooms were spacious, clean, renovated and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel is very well located, in the harbour section of Kingston, near shops and restaurants. The indoor pool was great for the kids. Parking is a bit difficult, they have an indoor lot that is a bit cramped.... more
This is the best stay I have had in Kingston yet, and I end up there usually once a year or so. I stayed at the Radisson to attend a conference this past weekend. Had booked a room with the AAA rate, which was excellent. We have mostly good things to say about this hotel. Beds were great! Room was... more
Just came back after spending a terrific weekend in Kingston. We arrived in the early evening, Friday and easily checked into the Radisson. The spaces in the garage were tight and there is an additional charge of about 10.00 a day with in/out privileges. We were on the 4th floor, with a panoramic view of Lake Ontario. Some of the... more
We had booked this hotel and were looking forward to their advertised sleep comfort bed. We paid $170 total for the night and apparently at that price you just don't get one. Instead we got a bed that was hard as a rock and not even with a pillow top. The hotel was very nice and in a great spot... more
Thank you for your comment. We are very sorry to hear that your stay with us did not meet your expectations. Please allow us to explain why we do not have Sleep Number beds in every room. The Radisson Hotels brand standards allow a property to convert a maximum of 90-95% of its guestrooms to Sleep Number beds. The remaining...
The hotel is in a great location for parents visiting Queen's students. Right on the lake and walking distance to many restaurants. The room was very clean, great view. The hotel was very clean. I always travel with a travel candle but it was not necessary here. The beds have individual controls for firmness. Personally, it felt like I was... more
We had booked this hotel at short notice for just one night, so we did not get a favourable rate and had to pay their full Internet rate. The location is superb, close to downtown but on a quiet street. We had a room with a very nice harbour view. We loved the decor of the room, the beds with... more
I stayed at the Radisson Plaza Hotel on April 7, 2007 while in town for my niece's Christening. This review includes some random impressions, though not particularly well-organized. Every room in this hotel has a fabulous view of Lake Ontario; my room looked onto the Harbour. The guest parking lot is somewhat tight but it's not impossible to negotiate your... more
