Booked a two night stay at the Confederation at the rate of $145 per night. For that price I had a small room beside the underground parking. It was beside the outdoor pool, which hadn't opened for the season. I was not as tired as that room which was in a 911 need of a makeover. It had a concrete-tile... more

i checked into the hotel and was ready to relax over the weekend. i entered the room and the view was great the waterfront with the boats and wolf island across the water, However while i was there we came across problems in the room that i guess did not seem to matter to the hotel. Outlets did not work,... more

This was literally the only place left in kingston for the date we required and now I know why-what a dump! Our room, which was not at all cheap at over $200, was unclean-musty smell, dirty carpets, mouldy bathroom. The airconditioner was extremely noisy but did not drown out the noise from the bar/patio outside. I would rather sleep in... more

I'd rather sleep on a bench in a park than ever in that hotel again. It looks awful from the outside and is not any better inside. Do not trust the pictures you might see on the hotel's website. We came out of the dingy and extremely dusty garage up into the lobby which smelled greasy, like someone had fried... more

Just returned from a 2 night stay at the Confederation Place Hotel in Kingston and if you are looking for a basic, convenient, clean hotel this one will work. I had read a few reviews prior to going and was concerned about the feedback but was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There are rooms with 3 double... more

I walked into this hotel on the evening of Sept. 1st which was Labor Day. As it was 9:30 and the end of a holiday weekend, I negotiated a good rate with the desk clerk which was 89 CAD. Even though they felt it was a good rate, it was way too much for the type of room they gave... more

The manager who took our reservation was extremely helpful and friendly. He suggested we get a "I miss my kid" card for future visits which gives a discounted rate when visiting our Queens student. The king room, city view was great. Nice and clean. The only drawback was that the tub was very slow to drain . Buffet breakfast in... more

If you want to invest in a lake front property with potential, I suggest you buy this place. It's location is the best, right on Lake Ontario and one of the marina's, one block from City Hall and with underground (limited) parking for a nightly fee of CAD10. But investment it needs - the place is run down, elevators have... more

This is not a 'fancy' hotel, but very adequate; staff was very friendly and nice, beds were comfortable, room was spacious, quiet and clean. Location of hotel is fantastic. I booked, and saw the other reviews after, so I came prepared for the worst. Upon a thorough inspection, room proved to be very clean (except for stains on the carpet,... more
