The staff delivered gentle, attentive service and the interior design was charming, with some quirky twists; the staircase in our room led to a mezzanine closet that had the allure of a little hideaway. I felt I was on a European vacation rather than an overnight trip to visit our son at Queen's. The furniture in the parlor is lovely,... More

A hotel since 1900, the Belevedere does accommodation flawlessly. Light breakfast served by the fire in the parlor, with a smile. Warm and comfortable beds. Kind staff. Immaculate housekeeping. Everything seems easy here. In addition to confirming others' observations (no elevator, great location), I can report a strong wireless signal and thick walls. After a peaceful night's rest, I was... More

Thank you very much for your nice comments and for taking the time to review the Belvedere. It was my mistake that you were put in a room with a bathroom that our desk staff thought had been completely painted. All is well now and if you do get a chance to reserve again, please mention that Ian would like... More

This property's most redeeming feature is that it's close enough to the core's many high-end restaurants and activities to be accessible by a leisurely 10-minute stroll, but far enough out of the core that one doesn't get all of the street noise that a lively area can generate. On top of that, a very clean, pleasant room and excellent breakfast.

Everything that makes a hotel stay perfect is what we experienced here. Ambiance, quiet, extraordinary service. The decor is peaceful, calming and if you are interested in antiques a true jewel. Our room was immaculate with the most comfortable bed (high-end mattress). Breakfast is served either in your room or the beautiful front "parlour" on the main floor. The hotel... More

This Hotel had all of the charm of bygone years and a really welcoming, friendly atmosphere. The service was fantastic and the rooms were clean. We really enjoyed our overnight stay. It was within easy walking distance to a number of good restaurants. The only concern was the number of stairs to get up to the third floor as there... More

This place is a bit of a hidden gem. Stayed here for the wkend with my wife in Kingston. It's like a beautifully converted large house in a lovely residential area of Kingston approx 10-15 mins walk from the harbour, and reminiscent of some great B&Bs I've stayed in in the UK and Ireland. Very friendly and helpful staff. Decent... More

I stayed here recently with my daughter who is attending Queen's University. We were able to bring my small dog and the staff accommodated us well by giving us a ground floor room with direct access to our own terrace for the dog. The room was beautifully appointed with antique furniture, a fireplace and full bathroom. The modern addition of... More

I'm still undecided about this hotel and I think its quite difficult to review because each room is so different and so this is going to be a very personal viewpoint and also one coloured by the fact that we arrived here after staying in one of the best rooms we've ever had. Although billed a hotel it falls somewhere... More

It depends on the taste but to my liking this hotel was the second besr I have stayed in my life. The first one was in Valparaiso, also making you feel at home, very friendly owners and staff, making you feel that you belong to the place somehow. The breakfast we had, was the best we had during our 15... More

we were exploring the area and saw this hotel as we drove past. It was the 1st one we approached for one night's accommodation for 2 couples and a 14 year old boy. The initial welcome through to the upgrade and the ambience and the closeness to Kingston town hub made it a remarkable find and much more than just... More
