It’s been some time since anyone cared about the EconoLodge in Kingston. The car park is riddled with weeds, and furthermore, you’ll be told on arrival that there are only a handful of parking spaces that are available to you: park in the middle, the front, or the side opposite to the hotel, and you’ll be towed. Park next to... More

Clean, well decorated rooms with lovely bathrooms, this lodge was the perfect place to rest. We used it as our base to explore Kingston. Extremely helpful staff, especially a young lady receptionist in particular who couldn't do enough for us! Lovely to have someone so helpful. The location is a good half an hours walk into the main area of... More

Our first experience of Econo Lodge City Centre was finding it in the middle of a construction zone - of which we had not been informed. Then we went up to our room by a staircase that had dangerously low, fidgety hand rails. Our room was a smoking room, of which we were again not informed prior to our reservation,... More

There are some advantages and disadvantages to staying here. Some of the advantages are the pricing, the location, helpful staff, continental breakfast included and decent beds. Some of the disadvantages are evident: This establishment could use a complete renovation. It is quite dated, worn amenities, there is no color coordination (i.e. rugs, curtains, etc.) and there is quite a walk... More

we decided to spend an extra night in Kingston, which is a beautiful town for our son's convocation. The first night was at the Holiday Inn downton and our second night ,booked at the last minute was at the Econo Lodge. There is major construction on the roads so we had to take a detour in to the hotel. The place... More

Well situated on Princess Street. $10 taxi ride from Via Rail station and walkable into downtown area - 25 minutes. Rooms basic but spotless. Whitney on reception was lovely, very helpful. Breakfast was included, continental. Very basic. First morning there was mould on the bread!! Receptionist didn't even raise an eyebrow!

After considering all the hotel reviews on Tripadvisor I selected this hotel for a two night stay and did not regret it. Granted the rooms are tired but they are clean and the pillow top mattresses are most comfortable. The bathroom was clean. The staff was cordial and most helpful by showing me to my room the first night and... More

The sign outside the hotel says newly renovated. I think they were talking about the road in front of the hotel not the property itself. The interior is filthy and smells like cigarettes and wet carpet. The shower stall was mouldy. The paint on the ceiling was peeling off. The toilet paper roll had been ripped off the wall. The... The new bed in our room was awesome, no lumps, no rolling into the middle, just comfortable and a great couple nights sleep. The room was quite Spartan with no clock radio, fridge or other amenities but the TV and internet connections worked good. The first morning, I reported that the toilet was loose and when I came in that... More

We stayed at this hotel on our way to Kitchener February 28th 2014. Despite the fact that the entrance is not very welcoming, check-in was easy. I had booked through Expedia and got a pretty good rate. They will run a pre-authorization for $50 on your credit card, presumably as a damage deposit. When I asked about it being released,... More
