I stayed at this B&B for a week while a good friend of mine was having surgery. Needless to say that it could of been a very long week but thanks to the owners of the place it felt like home. Thanks to Gwen and her warm and friendly ways I felt like I was staying at a good friend's... More

It was nice, they made me oatmeal when they saw I wasn't a big eater. Coffee machine on second floor out of water. I was a bit taken aback at being billed for my two day stay upon check in. Never had that happen anywhere.

We booked the Rose Arden for an overnight in August and had a fantastic stay. The B&B and Parisienne room were exactly as described on the website. The home and grounds were very well maintained. The atmosphere was comfortable and whimsical. Lots of art to enjoy. The porches and views from Hamilton mountain were spectacular. Hosts were warm and engaging.... More

I was spending one night in Hamilton while participating in a bicycle fundraising event, and the prospect of sleeping in a tent after 100 km on the road and before another 120 km did NOT appeal. So I found Rose Arden online and booked. I had the "Tuscan Room", and for a solo traveller it was perfect. Might have found... More

On a recent visit to Hamilton to visit my brother in the hospital we spent three wonderful days (August 18-20) at Rose Arden. What a gem! The house is wonderfully decorated with lots of interesting things to see. We stayed in the Parisienne Room and though a tad small it was very comfortable. The bathroom was converted from a large... I would drive out of my way to stay at Rose Arden again! The bed was so comfortable, both breakfasts were second to none. The presentation was beautiful. I loved the enclosed front porch that overlooked the city and the open air back porch that was so quiet and private and relaxing. Gwen was so gracious and made me feel... More

We recently travelled from the UK and stayed here whilst attending a family wedding nearby. The hospitality was superb and the breakfasts amazing. We also enjoyed a lovely relaxing evening in the beautiful garden. A fantastic find.

The Hosts Ken & Gwen are warm and welcoming. This charming B&B is delightful to stay in. Each room has it's own bathroom which cannot be beat. The beds are pillow top and the duvets fluffy, the perfect combination for floating off into a restful sleep. A five star breakfast tops off the stay, freshly brewed coffee/tea, fresh fruit/yogurt/granola parfait... More

The week we spent at this B&B was the best ever. Gwen and Ken made you the best , best breakfast and gave us the option to name the breakfast we would like on our last day, not one meal was the same, and to mention the quantity, wow. Thank you very much Gwen and Ken for all the good... More

This 100-year-old house warmly welcomes you thanks to Gwen and Ken Mallard, two gracious hosts who really want you to have a great time. Gwen pointed me in the right direction after finding out what my likes were and Ken, a gourmet cook, whippped up a storm in the kitchen (not to mention Gwen's homemade yogurt and fruit cup). I...
