Enjoyed our time away with the girls for our scrapbooking weekend. Shane and Alan are always so welcoming and will get you anything you need. We stayed for 2 nights and had a delicious breakfast both mornings. Room was very comfortable and clean. Looking forward to returning, already have booked 2 more visits in 2015! Thank you Shane, Alan and... More

Serenity Ranch is a wonderful place! When you arrive and are welcomed to sit down with a glass of wine, you know you have come to a good place! Beautifully decorated, the rooms have everything you need and more, even things you didn't realise you need - your own microwave, popcorn, and DVD collection! The breakfast was fabulous, all home... Dear guest: When I was in Patagonia, I remember crossing a fiord by launch to be greeted on the landing dock of the remote hotel by a waiter bearing aloft his tray containing my welcoming cocktail! I don't recall much about the room, or the food, but I certainly remember the welcome that I received. At Serenity Ranch we know... More

We spent last weekend at Serenity Ranch and had just an amazing time. All three of us ( dog included) - suggestions for walks, local food and the art gallery really topped off the weekend but what really made everything special was the atmosphere, environment and vibe the ranch resonates. Thanks to the wonderful hosts, Shelby included of course. We... More

Dear Guest: We keep forgetting what Hamilton has to offer travellers: it is 'the Waterfall Capital' of Canada, and is increasingly becoming a city known for its many, many cycling trails, hiking trails and nearby conservation areas. Hamilton does not have picturesque, cobblestoned streets, or chintzy Olde Souvenir Shoppes - it is a vibrant, friendly city only 15 minutes from... More

You can't go wrong with Shane and Alan, they will cater to your every need. This was our second time at the Ranch and we have booked two more visits in 2015. The rooms are a great size each with their own bathroom, very clean and comfortable. We stayed for two nights and had a delicious home cooked breakfast each... More

Dear Guest: Our philosophy is to offer guests great down-home food; only the best will do. No matter what Shane prepares, he guarantees that it is free from cholesterol and calories (and Alan owns some swamp land in Florida that he is trying to sell)! It was thoughtful of you to upload breakfast photos so that others may check us... More

Shane once again catered to our every need for our weekend getaway scrapbooking at the B & B. We have once again booked 2 more stays for next year already! The rooms are beautiful the space is amazing and the food delicious! Alan was so gracious in staying at a hotel in order for us to utilize every bedroom! I... More

Dear Guest: We are always thrilled when repeat guests tell us that their stay was exactly what they were seeking. We try to offer warm and friendly accommodation. Because our construction is taking longer than we expected, Alan had to leave for the weekend. This allowed him the opportunity to hone his critical skills by reviewing another hotel. He is... More

Shane and Alan run a great place. Since my first visit it is clear they keep enhancing things, that it is an ongoing process to make things continuously better. I don't think it is possible that anybody visiting could identify anything missing, everything is there waiting for you. Not only is the place fully supplied and wonderfully comfortable, but the... Dear Guest: At Serenity Ranch, when a guest from the other side of the continent (or equally, the next town) makes a return trip to stay with us, we regard this as a great compliment. We thank you so much. It is true that we are upgrading and improving as time passes, but we never want to get away from... More

As soon as the door to Serenity Ranch was opened I was welcomed into a warm safe haven from the blustery November storm. Shane and Allan offered a lovely glass of wine by a cozy fire with a bowl of homemade organic Chicken and vegetable soup. Delicious and reviving! I just needed a spot to stay overnight between St Catherines... More

Dear Guest: Shane's Chicken Soup at Serenity Ranch is legendary. We are glad that it 'hit the spot' when you arrived. Alan is working on Spiked Hot Chocolate to greet guests when the weather is really cold, but has not quite perfected the recipe. It shouldn't take long! The ranch is conveniently located for travellers (we may not have a... More

Dear Guest: We are absolutely delighted that you found Serenity Ranch! I am not sure whether Belgian Waffles actually exist in Belgium, but I believe that Shane's creations are quite over the top! My partner and I are currently both serving members of the Canadian Armed Forces, and we were offered a complimentary night stay at Serenity Ranch.
