On our way to Stratford, we really enjoyed or stay a couple nights at this charming country hotel. Wonderful staff took care of us. The gardens were lovely to stroll through. A relaxing break from Toronto. Recommend their spa, too.

We stayed at Langdon Hall for a spa getaway weekend and had a perfect weekend. The property itself is historic, well-situated and grand. The property has everything you could want during a weekend stay - rooms to sit around in, a billiards room, a spa, an outdoor heated pool, a garden, etc. From the minute we walked through the front... Langdon Hall is a beautiful, stately old home transformed into a lovely inn. Our room was spacious and well-appointed. The in-room fireplace was lovely and since the winter has been so long, a nice touch. The food at breakfast and dinner was amazing. We enjoyed the complimentary wine tasting and cooking demonstration. They were both very well done. We also... More

We've stayed in Langdon Hall several times, and always enjoy it. A handsome and comfortable building in the country. Good and welcoming service. A sense of well-being. Martini in the bar listening to the pianist... The one doubt is the dining experience. It's a beautiful dining room. The service could be a little more enthusiastic but it is certainly acceptable.... My husband surprised me with an overnight trip to Langdon Hall for my birthday and I wasnt disappointed! What a beautiful getaway with an abundance of charm. We stayed in one of the attic suites and I was seriously speechless when we entered. The food was spectacular, with fresh ingrediants from the gardens found on site. The entire compound is... More

Appears in the middle of the countryside as an impressive estate with large surrounding grounds. Service was worthy of 5 stars. Common areas include a bar, restaurant, billiards room, and meeting rooms, which were all in excellent condition and thoroughly modern but still with old-world charm. My room was quite spacious with a real fireplace and separate shower and bathroom.... More

48 hours is enough time to completely unwind and feel rejuvenated. We started our retreat with the Family Day casual lunch where we enjoyed second helpings of the many tasty salads, the delicious home-made bread and other more hearty fare. A stroll along the snow covered trails, followed by a sleigh ride provided sufficient exercise to work up an appetite... More

After receiving a gift certificate for a night's stay, dinner and breakfast well over a year ago, we finally had a chance to go, and it was the week before Valentines so it was perfect. A great time to use the gift. I was very impressed with how short a drive it really was from Toronto and how beautiful the... More

This is one of our favourite places in the Southern Ontario area. It truly is a retreat and little bit of an escape even though you are close to the city. We have been here several times and each time it is as enjoyable as the last. They have a new chef in the kitchen and that is a good... More

As promised in the last review, we did go back. We knew that there had been a change of chef and so we're looking forward to seeing if there had been a change of direction in the kitchen; thankfully there has! Flavour has returned to compliment the excellently cooked, presented and served food. The menu has changed too; not dramatically... More
