Visited on a Thursday evening, was surprised how busy it was, hardly any empty table so good job we had booked. We opted for the 2 courses for £14.95 offer. I had goats cheese bruschetta which was lovely, followed by chicken and mushroom stroganoff which again was very good although I couldn't manage to eat it all. Lovely atmosphere, the... More

We went to The Shuckburgh Arms on Saturday night and were lucky to get a cancellation as we had not booked. As usual the atmosphere was friendly and busy, the staff welcoming and the food delicious. We love this pub and are always made to feel very welcome - stoke Doyle's gain is our loss!

Tripadvisor lists as a hotel but in reality its a pub converted to a restaurant with some add-on accommodation. Mid-week family birthday lunch for 5 here in the restaurant, didn't stay. No idea what to expect as first visit to this 'pub' for many a year. Run by a couple, her front-of-house and him in the kitchen. Good value two-course... More

Visited without booking on a Saturday night but managed to get a table. Staff were attentive without being too much, children catered for, my 11 year old had the Chicken Goujons which he said were lovely, I had Seabass for my main which was absolutely delicious, my partner having the liver which again was excellent. We look forward to visiting... More

I was disappointed that the website was a little misleading, food was good but the website grill offer was not available as per the website. No fillet steaks available although still advertised as such on the eve of the meal!!!!!!

I recently visited this place with my grandmother. The service and generally decor were welcoming at the beginning however as time progressed the former declined (ironically with fewer people in the pub)! The food was average I would say even though at £14 for two courses - it was certainly a good deal. Bizarely our food portions were vast! My... More

Great food, relaxing atmosphere, very attentive staff. Stayed overnight in one of the 3 rooms, extremely comfortable and very nicely decorated. Breakfast not included in room price but worth paying extra for. A great start to our valentine weekend.

We have recently moved into East Northamptonshire and The Shuckburgh Arms was recommended to us by a neighbour. My wife and I visited last night to celebrate my birthday and the whole experience was a delight. We had drinks at the bar and offered menus. We both had a starter - mushroom bake and chicken fillets followed by a Thai... More

Lovely place, we had a very warm meet and greet. Took the two small grandchildren ,who enjoyed their grand dads birthday celebration meal. The staff was very obliging to requests for the menus regards child friendly portions. Food very hot and well present, yes would have no hesitation to go again.

This is the second time we have been to the Shuckburgh Arms and the meal did not disappoint. We went with our friends again who live local and I would say all of our meals were above average and would consider the menu very good value for money. I had Whitebait to start, followed by Sea Bass (sublime) and to... More
