After a particularly stressful, busy week I needed a quiet and comfortable retreat. I was smart enough to spend a night at this beautiful home. Shelley welcomed me and told me a great deal about the history of the house, her family and the area. The bed was very comfortable with lovely linens. The bathroom was stocked with all manner... We often stay at B&Bs and this was one of the best. Steve and Shelley were wonderful hosts and their heritage home was charming and ever so comfy. Nice breakfast and interesting conversation. It made for a such a relaxing getaway and the hot tub was a bonus. If you're heading to the Caledon area, this is a perfect --... More

Shelley and Steve were very accommodating and hospitable -we got back late from a wedding and had a much needed soak in the hot tub! We woke up to a delicious breakfast and took their very cute dog Dixie for a walk into the charming town of Cheltenham! We had a wonderful stay.

We were in town to attend a family wedding in Caledon and picked The Top of the Hill as our "home base" because it was centrally located to the wedding reception at Innis Lake and to other family members in the area that we were visiting. Our family booked all of the available rooms and it worked out perfectly for... More

Comfy beds, quite, picturesque location, good wifi, and close enough to all the action in GTA. I'm not sure what else a business traveler could ask for...except for maybe some nice hosts and a great breakfast. I'm in the area a couple times a year on business and always stay in a Pearson area hotel: it's well worth the extra... More

Wanting a quiet, rural retreat, we got exactly what we wanted and much more. This remarkable home has een in the same family for 7 generations! It is filled with lovingly restored furniture, and detailed correctly with classic wall coverings in just the right colors. One highlight was being able to read the actual journal written by the great-great...ancester who... More

My husband and I stayed here for one night over the Victoria Day long weekend. We stayed in the bedroom with the ensuite. It was a cosy room overlooking both the back yard and the adjacent road. The house is located in a peaceful and picturesque part of Caledon near the Credit River, and indeed, on top of the hill.... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here for one night, it was a great experience and would recommend it for people seeking a weekend getaway in the country. The building itself is old and historic, however it has undergone extensive renovations in the interior so it has a very modern and comfortable atmosphere as well as updated heating and plumbing which... I visited the hotel the last weekend with my husband. It is an amazing getaway and the hosts are very hospitable. We felt at home, as the atmosphere is very family and friendly. The ancient home is cozy and the area is quiet. There are also a lot of small towns nearby which can be visited. The Top of the... More
