What really surprised me about the place is that inspite of this being maintained by the government it was so clean and tastefully decorated. My previous experience in a govt place had made me wary but after reading the reviews and due to lack of places to stay, I chose to stay for a night here and I was very... More

We put up at the A.C Deluxe Double Bedded Room - Wooden Block rooms last summer for 4days/5nights trip to Jaldapara. The AC Cottages hadn't been opened for visitors yet. There is provision for parking your cars. The hotel has small park, where the kids can play or check out the many models of the animals (which reside in the... More

Never expected it to be nice and clean especially in a rural district in India. The lodge is away from the high way in a quiet location. The cottages are better than the rooms on the main building. The hotel have a nice garden to sit or stroll in the evening. The food catered here is mostly Indian.

I stayed here for 1 Night along with my family on 14th Feb 2015. We were provided one rooms in the ground and 2 on the 1st floor. The rooms are large, clean and well maintained.. epsecially for a Govt. run lodge. One could see the light and sound shown during the evening time and there is large garden in... More

We spent one night here , a total of 15 hrs in one of the rooms in the main building. Location is good , bordering the forest and no noise coming from the main highway. Rooms were spacious and the bed was OK. It had a nice balcony as a plus point. Staff was fine considering its a govt lodge.The... More

Jaldapara Tourist Lodge is a great Government property. Normally the reason one should choose a Govt property is the location, not so much the comfort, but I am glad to say that the stay here was comfortable. The lodge is surrounded by trees since the jungle is just behind it (though it isn’t accessible). The approach to the lodge over... More

kudos to west Bengal govt for running the place, we had booked a suite and was pleasantly surprised, thank God our booking was for two days if not we would have missed the elephant safari, since we could take the ride on the second day, we drove to bhutan, there is river torsa and jhaldhaka if you are into angling.

We stayed in this hotel during September... We took the front cottage(Probably C1 was the number)… The price was very reasonable considering the quality of the cottage… All furnishing and bathroom fittings are new and of good quality… Very clean… Good service and good food. We will definitely stay there if we visit doors again…
