I've been staying here on and off for the last 4 months when I have visited the Barrie Area . It's right downtown, easy to get to restaurants, and pubs, and a nice departure from the generic rooms in the normal hotels. Staff has always been cheerful and accommodating. more

Although the property is nice, it is extremely overpriced for the quality of service and the ammenities. Staff are more interested in taking phone calls than showing guests to their rooms. We stayed one night in July 2007 on a weekend. Was a very comfortable stay and very clean unique hotel. All the rooms had ensuite kitchenettes and private bath. There were only 3 rooms on main floor and no elevator as it's an histroic converted home so reserve on main floor if you have trouble with stairs or heavy luggage.... more
