It's a cute little old Victorian home turned into a 'B & B/Inn;. Great staff. Rooms are a little small...but we had everything we needed. A little bar fridge, glasses, clean bathroom...and a pretty good bed. GREAT view overlooking the waterfront on the 2nd floor. Centrally located to everything in downtown, you don't even need to take a cab...but if... More

We called 20 hotels to find everything booked. I stumbled upon this place and couldn't have been more pleased. Quiet, clean and close to downtown. It's a heritage house with all the old world charm...would definitely recommend and stay again.

The staff leaves at 7pm. There is wifi available but it is broken and the staff isn't even sure what the password is. Contrary to what it is classified as there is no breakfast in this "bed and breakfast." It's really quaint and very private seeing as there are not a lot of rooms available. It has a perfect environment... More

Rooms were a little lacking for the price, but my main issue is the 60$ late check-out fee. I woke with with horrible flu symptoms and needed a little extra time to compose my stomach and myself for the long drive home. Receptionist informed us that it was going to be an additional SIXTY DOLLARS TO STAY ONE EXTRA HOUR!... More

Stayed at the Harbour View Inn with family while visiting Barrie. Older, historic building. Quirky rooms; not fancy and a little tired but sparkling clean. Room 101 was spacious. Room 206 had nice view of lake, but a smaller room than 101. Small kitchenette in each -- suitable for breakfast, coffee, snacks. Quiet and good spot for our older kids... More

I hate being taken advantage of. After seeing a number of positive reviews I booked The Harbour View Inn for my girlfriend and I on our way up to a wedding in the Muskokas. Frankly, the Inn was very poor value for the money. While the room was clean and the bedding was fine, the room itself and the service... More

Somebody brilliant set up the room we had. It was the first one on the right on the main floor when you come into the hotel. The room has absolutely everything you need from wine glasses to a toaster. Nothing has been forgotten. There are even coasters for your coffee cups. Everything worked flawlessly. The bathroom, the little kitchen, all... More

We have stayed at the Harbour View twice in the past three years, and both times we have enjoyed our stay. The location is convenient, the rates are reasonable, and the rooms are large. The beds are a bit creaky and I prefer a king-size rather than a queen. As other reviewers have noted, the decor is a bit worn,... More

Very clean rooms, excellent location with a good view of Kempenfelt Bay. Walking one block will get you to the main downtown strips with shops, restaurants, and nightlife. Our room was upgraded to the penthouse suite which was a nice surprise. The couple we travelled with had nothing but great things to say about their room as well. Beautiful Victorian... More

The staff was very welcoming in this beautifully restored Victorian house, the room was charming, with antique furniture, lots of windows and a walk-in shower. It could be wonderful with some easy improvements: the pillows are old and worn, the bed would greatly benefit from a memory foam, and the bedspread/comforter is too heavy. A new duvet and the room... More
