We spent 3 nights here in September 2014 for dinner bed and breakfast. The rooms are quite amazing; huge, with original looking furnishings, 4 poster beds etc. As other reviewers have said it is a bit like being in a fairytale. We were part of a walking group of 15 and were very well looked after. The views are fantastic... More

We saw Il Castello on our way to Barolo and from a distance it was like something out of a fairy tale. We hadn't booked to stay here but in seeing it up close we changed our plans and booked an extra night to experience this magical castle hotel. The staff/owners were all delightful and very helpful, even arranging a... More

We stayed 6 nights at this wonderful location with great views of the region. It has very spacious rooms, although our bathroom was a bit dated, a wonderful terrace overlooking the hills and town of novello. The staff were really friendly and helpful catering to our every need including babysitting our daughter. Unfortunately the restaurant was not open the first... More

If you ever dreamed of staying in an ancient castle, this is the place for you. The suites provide incredible views ---ours had a large private terrace, and a bathroom built into one of the towers, and our friends had a bed decorated in gold leaf and a gorgeous painted ceiling. Both suites were quite large. The generous buffet breakfast was... More

We stayed here bevor and came back to this charming castle. We were 2 couples and shared the suite with a private terasse. We enjoyed the great view and relaxing atmosphere. The dinning room is lovely nostalgic too. We strongly recommend staying at this magic little castle.

While the rooms are not luxurious, you have to remember that you are sleeping in an ancient castle that has been redone and opened to the public. Beds are comfortable and the rooms has most amenities. Breakfast is surpassed only by a hotel we stayed at in Istanbul Highly recommended!

Situated on a hilltop in a small village near Cuneo, this castle is almost surrealistic in its appearance. It is one of the most romantic places I ever stayed. The rooms are not luxurious, but very atmospheric and there is an enormous terras with a unique view of the sourroundings, the village and the distant Alps. We had no opportunity... More

My husband and I stayed 2 nights this past November. At the far edge of a very small but charming town, it was a beautiful castle. Our room was on the top floor (2nd floor) a suite with a large terrace past the bathroom. It was very large and decorated with seemingly antique wooden furniture. I would definitely recommend this... This place is wonderful in so many ways. Run by italians, you get embraced by italian hospitality. The chef and his wife who run the restaurant are so wonderful - the food is amazing and she is full of wine recommendations! ask for a tour of the cellar in the basement. I hesitate to recommend this place because I want... More
