This resort was a lovely surprise when approaching Eganridge Inn. It's noted as a spa but it also has a beautiful 9-hole golf course. We recently went Eganridge for a mid week break. The grounds are lovely and a nice small golf course is on site. My friend and I went for a girls' spa weekend in early June 2008. Eganridge is not like many of the other upscale resorts in southern Ontario, nor should it be. Eganridge is a first class golf & Spa country inn situated on a ridge with a breathtaking view of Sturgeon Lake. The grounds are kept in pristine condition along with the rooms and common areas. The food was excellent and surprisingly well priced considering the quality and surroundings. We stayed in the original lodge called dunsford house built in 1837.... more
