We just spent a few days in Rossport and were sad to see that the Inn has not opened this summer. We hope to see them open again next summer when we return. Luckily, there are other good options for accomodations in Rossport.

We have stayed at the Rossport Inn a few times now. Our hosts Ned and Shelagh have always been extremely friendly and hospitable with tons of aloha. The inn is situated at a beautiful vantage point above the village, with pleasing views of the lake and nearby islands. The old inn is very well maintained in it's original charm of...

We didn't make reservations for the Rossport Inn but the owners were able to accommodate us with a charming room with shared bath. This inn is one of the original railroad hotels built in 1884 to accommodate Canadian Pacific travelers. But it's not built in the "grand" CP style- it's a cozy, comfortable, modest inn. It overlooks Lake Superior and...

My partner and I were looking forward to a wonderful day kayaking on Lake Superior in Rossport and called the day before to book a cabin at the Rossport Inn Upon talking with the owner by phone we booked a cabin which he reassured us that it was set up for pets.We were unable to book a kennel on short...

We were on a circle tour of Lake Superior and had been camping for several days. It had been raining and we’d been driving all day. Around 6:00pm we pulled into Rossport looking for a place to stay. I’d seen references to the Rossport Inn in our travel materials. We stopped and asked to make a reservation. It was for...

This review is about the restaurant only.
Rossport is a lovely, quaint village and we've visited it many times. Our food at the Rossport Inn, though outrageously priced, has always been good and we've enjoyed our meals there. However, while I do plan to visit Rossport again and again, I will not patronize the Rossport Inn. I have endured the...

The individual who owns and operates this establishment is extremely hostile and difficult, which is a shame as the Inn is very charming, and the town of Rossport is beautiful!! There are a few other options in town that are very good, such as The Willows bed and breakfast.
Another mecca for the motorcycling tourist. Located in the most beautiful section of the Lake Superior north shore, Rossport Inn is a world class operation. Top notch service, food and accomodations for the "rustc adverturer". Ned and Shelagh are first class folks who run a first class hotel. Highly recommended!
The individual who owns and runs this establishment is possibly the most hostile person in the North American travel industry. There is nothing about the Rossport Inn to recommend it. There are other well run establishments in Rossport, but I won't list them so as to not show favoritism. I will say that they are all far better than the...

We stayed here while doing the Lake Superior Circle Tour in the fall. We stayed in a small cabin with a kitchenette. The bed wasn't very comfortable. Due to the proximity of our cabin to the very busy railroad tracks, we were constantly being startled awake during the night. I would think that rooms in the lodge wouldn't be nearly...
